This sheath is designed to fit a hatchet blade of 3.6" inches and length of 5". At 3.25" and same length, it should fit with a bit of room.

Q: will this fit the estwing E45 axe

The Camillus TECA Leather Hatchet Sheath Axe Holster Cover measures shorter in length than the Estwing E45 and will not correctly cover the E45 blade.

Q: Will it fit hatchet toe to heel length 2-13/16 inches?

Yes. It fit a true temper hatchet of mine that measures 4.5”+ from poll to bit. It was a snug fit but fit well.
