A wonderful book: inspiring, passionate and a great tribute to winemaker Serge Hochar. Recommended to anyone who has an interest in wine, life or the Lebanon. Buying this book also donates to a charity for those affected after the explosion in Aug 2020.

One of The most interesting stories in wine
A fantastic and easy read. A story of running a winery in the midst of a war. Lots of the philosophy of Serge Hochar, the original “natural” winemaker. If you are a drinker of Chateau Musar you will love this book. If you are not, pour yourself a glass of Musar and tuck into a delicious story. You will soon be converted. This book also lists all of the previous vintages and tasting notes from a variety of well respected tasters.

A lovely book
This is a beautifully produced book about Chateau Musar that I bought from the Academie du Vin, interesting and informative, and about Serge Hochar, who was such a remarkable person, and his family. Contributors include top people in the wine world. I love Chateau Musar wine, so it is particularly relevant for me, but in any case it is a terrific and undemanding way to learn about it.

Excellent background to Chateau Musar wines and vintage notes
Very attractively produced volume with much history and colourful background to Chateau Musar and Serge Hochar. The vintage notes are particularly useful. NB I bought this book direct from Academie du Vin but I am reviewing ithere as anyone who likes Chateau Musar should get the book.
