I think this was cast with beach sand and whoever was running the plasma cutter had no idea what they were doing.My vise is coated in what looks like an epoxy paint. This has ruined the screws and threads and the guide bar for the clamp won't move. It's like it was carelessly painted and now it can't traverse guide rods.The clamp plates have sharp edges from bad mfg and they will cut or gouge what you have in the vise.The slop seems adjustable as far as the cross vise goes, but there doesn't seem to be anyway to fix the slop in the. X and Y screws.Lots of wobble and play, I'm not even sure I can keep this a just a vise....since the clamp is seized.

THIS IS AN OK VISE FOR HOME USE. IT IS SMALL COMPACT AND WELL DESIGNED. A LARGER MAIN SPIRAL SCREW AND SLIGHTLY LONGER TURN HANDLE WOULD MAKE THIS THE PERFECT VISE BUT IT IS AN ECONOMICAL HOME USE ALTERNATIVE. I RECOMMEND THIS VISE.

Perfect for the price, can’t ask for much more

The castings on this vise are some of the worst I've ever seen. Sharp edges, slag, inclusions, and missing cast. I did manage to clean it up, and make it somewhat functional for JUST a drilling vise. For the price? It can work, depending on your expectations. I knew this was a lower quality vise when I bought it. But it serves my purpose, as a vise on a small (1/4 hp) drill press.

Couple love taps with my hammer and it shattered
