Had previous model of this number for many years.it worked well but was fiddly to set. LED display finall obscured itself but still worked. New version, once you master the logic of how it programs also good. Slightly better to set up special program to six way distributor.

Works as advertised. I have this timer connected to a Gardena six-zone water distributor and a Gardena rain sensor. The setup works perfectly. As far as the water timer (computer) is concerned, programming is straightforward — though reading the manual first is advisable. One hint: Make sure to clear all watering settings when setting up the timer for the six-zone distributor. Or else you will have chaos. This is mentioned in the manual but is easy to forget. You can water every second day, every third day, or on select days of the week, say Wednesday and Saturday. When it has rained, the rain sensor — which I bought separately — sends a signal to the timer which then operates each zone for just 30 seconds before stopping. It needs to do this otherwise the timing goes haywire.

Pros:The particular model is versatile - it allows you to freestyle configure the days that you would like it to water plus allow you to set the watering timing up to 9h 59s.Overall, UI is easy to figure out and use.It's got a nifty 30sec watering function just by pressing a button.Cons:If only it would work ... Item is faulty.I set it to water my plants daily. It worked fine initially but after a couple of days (2-3days), the timer resets itself back to 2 times a week which may have been it's factory settings. Almost lost my sunflower plants because if this incident.
