Definitely does what it is supposed to do.
So far mostly lined up for hanging pictures. I like the multiple modes. It provided good lines in both the locked and unlocked mode when I had it at a weird angle. I have not had a need yet for the magnetic casing but I'm glad it's there for when I will in the future. I wish it had a belt clip, but that's just me. I'm not in construction so I can't speak to its durability but for my limited uses I'm sure it is more than sturdy enough.

No useful info comes with, not sure it's working right
The media could not be loaded. - Made in China- Comes with a decent case, no handle- Comes with tripod mount, also magnetic- 4 light levelsThe instructions say with the unit on, slide the slider in front to 'unlock' for self-leveling. Be careful, if you move that slider while it's off, the laser will come on. I was very nearly looking directly at it so I'm rather disgusted. The booklet that comes with it had no useful info. From fiddling with it, apparently it flashes when it's not level. Slowly, every 5 secs, in locked mode, fast, twice a second, in unlocked. I guess I can see that. The trouble is, in locked mode, it's never level. I've tried all sorts of different placements and the light never turns green and it never stops that slow flash. In unlocked mode, the light will turn green and it stops flashing. If you leave it upright. If you turn it on its side it can no longer level itself.I've never had a laser level, I don't know if this is normal. I could also be guessing wrong. It would've been nice to have some actual info with it.Problem for me - no belt clip. Of course you want to be a little more careful with this than a mechanical version but one still needs to tote them around.So. If you leave it in unlocked mode, and keep it upright, it works. If not, it never gets level. If it's me making the mistake then I'm saying it's poor design. It ought to have a way to tell you what you need to do to level. If it's borked, then that at least would make some sense.I'll stick to my old fashioned bubble that can tell me which way to shift to get things level.Don't forget to use the Smile.Amazon.com address - It's an Amazon program where many everyday things you buy will generate a small donation from Amazon to the charity of your choice at no cost to you. Level line to work
You'll need a tall and sturdy tripod to get the most use out of it.
