I purchased three Liquid Stands products in total. I wanted a keyboard stand that would be more stable than a crossed X stand and Liquid Stands delivers; the stand is rock solid, engineered and constructed with obvious care, also easy to assemble. Had piano lessons as a child and played in early adulthood but many moves resulted in a decision not to move a piano. I am taking up piano again after a 40 year absence with a digital piano. I also needed a piano bench and Liquid Stands had the perfect, easy to assemble, adjustable bench. I did discover that my 75 year old back was aching because I was slouching as I was practicing piano, I thought I was going to have to replace my bench with something like an office chair. Then, while searching for a solution, I discovered that Liquid Stands had just introduced an adjustable bench back the previous month. I immediately ordered the bench back but when it arrived found that the back attaches to the piano bench with fittings that weren’t on my bench. This is where the fantastic customer service comes in. I contacted Liquid Stands and they told me that the bench back was a brand new product and fit stands being shipped. I explained that I had purchased the bench only a few weeks before. They offered to ship out a replacement seat right away. Now my seat was the cloth surface seat and they only had replacements for the leather, but would have the cloth in about 4 months, I said that I would wait, but they sent me a leather seat and said they would send the cloth when it came available. Now THAT is superior customer service! The bench back totally solved my aching back issue, my piano practice sessions are now totally comfortable. Liquid Stands are American made products with quality and customer service second to none, you won’t go wrong purchasing any of their products!

This piano stool arrived yesterday and I assembled it this morning. There is a video showing you how to put it together, but really the pictorial directions are enough. It took me less than 15 minutes. There are simple screws with washers that are tightened with the 2 supplied Allen wrenches. The seat is height adjustable and it is very comfortable. I would say it is firm with just enough give. It is also very sturdy and when I began practicing piano, my full focus was on playing with no thought to the stool! Highly recommended.

The build quality is 2nd to none. I had another unit that was less money, but it was junk and returned. This bench is solid and comfortable.

I bought this bench for proper posture when noodling on my synthesizers. I also wanted something I could tuck underneath a keyboard to save space when I’m not playing. The bench was very easy to assemble. The adjustment mechanism is easy to use and the settings are tight. It’s very sturdy, and doesn’t wobble at all. The bench seems much more supportive and durable than the standard “x” style folding benches. Good build quality. The package was neatly organized, included all the parts, a detailed instruction pamphlet with photos, and even a handwritten note from the company with customer service contact info. The Liquid Stands bench is well worth the little extra you pay over the plethora of “x” style benches. My only, very minor, complaint is that the material used cover the cushion doesn’t really breath and traps your body heat. You’ll definitely sweat after sitting for an extended time on the bench. I plan on getting some kind buffer cushion or gel pad to dissipate the heat. Overall great bench. Happy with my purchase.

I'm an amateur piano player, try to practice 1-2 hours per day. I use an electronic keyboard on an adjustable X- type stand. I'm still using the old wooden piano bench (with music storage!), But it's not ideal for my back. I need something adjustable that will allow me to get to the pedal while not hitting my knees on the underside of the keyboard. I thought this adjustable stool would work for me, but it didn't. 😟 It is almost fully assembled; just a few screws. No problem. It's sturdy (5'5"/125). It does smell a little funny at first, but that seemed to be dissipating quickly. I had a little trouble figuring out how to adjust the height. The company provides an email address and they responded to my request very quickly. Impressed. For me the issues were 1) if you're using the full keyboard and tend to scoot from one side to the other, you can't really do that on this stool 2) it adjusts in 1" increments starting at 16". I used it for a few days and it was clear I need finer adjustability; with the options available I had weird back soreness 3) I'm on a carpet. I don't think this would move around on a hard floor, and it doesn't on a carpet, but on my old bench I have sliders, which help with the scooting So, well made, easy to assemble, give it a few days to air out. It will probably work for you!

Directions for assembly straightforward. Easy to assemble. Easy to adjust. Pleased.

I am a group piano teacher with multiple keyboards in my studio. I wish I had found these stools from the beginning! I had originally bought some x frame ones and have slowly been replacing them with the liquid stands ones. They are so easy to adjust and so sturdy. The kids are less likely to rock back on them and I really can’t say enough good things. Great attention to detail and I haven’t had to use customer service but all the packaging and communications are very friendly and I would feel confident they would help me if I ever needed them. Learn from me and don’t spend your money on any other stool!!

Great seat, sturdy bench. When assembling, consider putting the braces on the legs before the crossbar. It's not a big deal either way, but there's no reason not to brace the first leg before the crossbar that restricts access.

Will adjust to a higher table, when cheaper stools will not. Stable, very cushiony and comfortable.

Excellent heavy duty quality. Good levelling method, but not too heavy to move around. Easily assembled.

Easy assembly, height adjustments. Lightweight.
