Absolutely wonderful soy chunks
These soy chunks are a bit bigger than bite size. When I prepared them, they ended up with a beef-like chew, which is terrific for me because I was looking for a beef-substitute. I first rehydrated them in boiling faux beef broth. However, while they got softer all around, they were still not completely rehydrated on the inside. So I went ahead and dumped them into my soup mixture and let them gently simmer for 15 minutes. Perfection and with the texture of stewed beef. Next I am going to use them as the meat in my No-Meat Beef Stew. These are 10 out of 10 for my purposes! Update: I made the No-Meat Beef Stew and it turned out great! Every bit as good as regular beef stew but without beef. I will definitely purchase these Rani Soya Chunks again!

Definitely worth it
I purchased these for the first time and didn't know what to expect. They remind me a little of tofu, they have no flavor until you add it. You can be quite creative when making these. I rehydrate these with a seasoned broth instead of just water and they are very tasty. I told my son about them and I ended up getting him them. He made popcorn chicken with them and my two grandsons ended up loving them, they are 5 and 6. For the quantity, quality and price, these are definitely worth trying.

So delicious! Only cooked it once so far, but I know I will be getting this again. Can't wait to make some curry with this.

Easy to use, best price per lb, great container.
High quality and consistent product. I simply boil water in a kettle and pour over and cover (you can also add salt or perhaps broth). After they are entirely spongy just squeeze them out as best you can and air fry them. Take them out and sauce and you're in for a treat.

No taste
This soya is hard to season. I let it soak in hot water and then seasoned it. They still taste like card board. They expand like it was a sponge.

Kinda weird, but also great!
If you're a fan of vegan proteins and don't mind when they aren't 1:1 approximations of real meat, these are great. Put them in crock pot stews, and they soften nicely and soak up a ton of flavor. Chewy, big lumps of vegan protein shouldn't be missed (unless you're super picky about texture!)
