Works great. Use it for brown noise as I have tinnitus and this drowns out the ringing and lets me sleep.

I bought my Sound+Sleep SE a bit over five years ago and it's worked great that entire time. However just recently it has developed a glitch where after playing for several hours it'll suddenly emit a fast stuttering noise and then power off. I contacted the company's support department and they immediately responded (within seconds) and their belief is that the memory card has gone bad and they are sending me a replacement memory card first class free of charge. I'm totally blown away by this level of support, especially as the product is no longer under warranty. I wish all businesses operated at such a level.Now as to the machine itself, I love it, which is why I've used it every night for over five years. My favorite settings is the "Meadow" setting with both "Selection" lights lit. I do hit the Display button to turn off all the lights though before I go to bed. But I just love the crickets in that particular setting.

I had tried cheaper machines before this that just didn’t meet expectations for one reason or another. I love this one with its variety of sounds and adjustments. Other “non repetitive” machines still bugged my ear; this one seems to actually randomize in a way that feels natural, not artificial. Also a massive kudos to the company for making it possible to turn off all the lights!

The first 2 units had electrical malfunctions out of the box... Feedback sounds from the speaker, on/off button not working unless the unit was unplugged then plugged back in, unit turned on, no sound from speaker. Both times I emailed Customer Support and they quickly agree to replace the unit. I'm currently awaiting the delivery of unit #3.Travel? Possibly. The unit is 6.5 inches wide, 5.5 inches deep and 4.5 inches tall.Sound quality? Good, the recording loops are virtually seamless.Number of sound selections? 11 realistic sound categories, or high/ low fan loops or white /brown/pink noise loops. Each category has 4 enhancements from which to choose. (eg rainfall, rainfall w/wind & light thunder, rainfall w/more wind & louder thunder etc)Timer? Yes or you can choose continuous play. Adaptive volume? Yes or you can opt to keep the sound at one level.Only one criticism of a particular sound selection: OCEAN has a LOT of base... think BIG angry waves on a beach. You can make the waves sound even bigger (as if a storm were offshore) or add birds/seals/buoys or add foghorns to the birds etc. I've heard better ocean sounds on phone apps...I'm disappointed they didn't start with more treble: lapping lagoon waves, waves on a pebble beach then ultimately add more base to emulate big angry waves on a beach.There is no way to change the sounds other than what I've already mentioned. If they ever decide to alter the ocean category, I'd have to buy another machine. Oh well, dems da breaks.I'll update this review after I receive and use unit #3.OK, unit #3 arrived today. It's operating perfectly. No feedback sounds, no bzzt sound when you plug it in, on/off button works flawlessly. Even the sound loops are better. For example, the ocean category isn't super base sounding as on the first two machines.Moral of the story: if at first, you don't succeed... Keep contacting customer service!

Below is my original review, however, I need to update it, and the rating. As I mentioned below, I was disappointed that I had a problem with the device just days short of 1 year of use. However, After I wrote the review, I also wrote to customer service, and WOW, they were amazing. I told them what my problem was, as per the website site directions, they said include the serial and model info. I took a picture of the info from the original box i still had, sent to them, and the next day, on a Sunday night, I got a email that they will be sending me a new SD Card the next morning (Monday). I received a few days later.Now, what I always tell people is, I don't necessarily judge a company by if a product has a problem or not, but mostly by how they respond to issues. These guys were amazing, no questions asked. They just raised from 2 starts to 5 stars.EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE !Bob======================== Original Review =====================I love this machine, however, now, just a few days short of 1 year, I wake up in the middle of the night, and the machine is off. Initially I thought i forgot to set, and eventually realized it was the machine, Even took a picture one night to insure it was on, and it was. There are timers on the machines, to turn off after x amount of time, those are OFF, no timers are on.Machine works to help sleep, but considering it's sitting on my night table for a year, it's disappointing that a non moving part has stopped working. Not that it would be acceptable, but if it was at least a button that was used often, then you could understand it possibly stop working. Thats not the case here.
