Fannie May Milk Chocolate Pixies

Updating my original review. After the candy was in the house for awhile and had time to warm up, the candy tasted like I remember. Very good. First thing I did after I received these Fannie May Pixies was look for an expiration date. Couldn't find it. These were my favorite Christmas treats in the 1950s. Not anymore. These were hard and stale. I won't buy again.

This is the fifth box I’ve ordered in a short period of time. This box wasn’t even closed even though there was plastic around it. The problem is that they are very stale. Very disappointed as this is our favorite candy.

Going bad & disappointed. Tastes stale very chewy pecans do not have crunch. price point is ok.

I have long been a fan of Fannie May candies. I especially love their pixies (really the same as turtles) and also their chocolate mint candies. The chocolate is of high quality and the dark chocolate is not bitter which it can be. I've tried quite a few of their candies and they are all delicious. You just have to order your preferences. If you don't like coconut or orange, etc., you don't order the candies that have those flavors. But I enjoy almost all of their candies. I've never been disappointed over the several decades of enjoying Fanny May.

This is an old Chivago brand that was bought out. The candies are smaller with less carmel and substandard and fewer pecans. These boxes have a lot more plastic and fewer pixies. The recipe has been jiggered to save money. It's a shame to see a Chicago original cheapened like this. If you need to break even, return to the original recipe, sell the original size without the plastic to save space in the box where four more candies would be appreciated. Sad imitation of a classic Chicago delight. Disappointment.
