Did not feel like reinforced cardboard
Gave the set to my niece and nephew, with their parents blessing and understanding that we'd help build. The cons: Right out of the box the panels were floppy and did not feel like reinforced cardboard. I was expecting stiff, double layer cardboard like moving boxes, but it wasn't like that. How to redeem it (what we should have done): In hindsight, this would have been a better thing for us to keep at our house and just build it up for them ahead of time before they visit. *Not* try and give as a gift. As a gift on Christmas morning, it was just anticlimactic and frustrating, and since the uncles couldn't figure out how to assemble it fast enough before the kids' attention ran out, it was forgotten very quickly. We have since realized that the "photos" on the listing are probably "renderings" of the product, because what we received was cardboard, and the photos make it look like something reinforced.Go read the Make-A-Fort website description before purchasing - it's WAY more honest about the product. We don't regret buying it, but would not have given it wrapped as a christmas gift - we'd have set it up ahead of time.

disappointed
Bought for 11 and 8 year old grandchildren and panels broke first time using it. Very disappointed.

Love it!
The creator pack was a gift for my sons. They absolutely love it, and so do I! They’ve already spent countless hours creating and building together! There aren’t many activities they would pick over “screen time” and building is one of them! It’s amazing what they’ve been able to build with the pack! I’m going to be buying an additional set for STEM time in my classroom!

Make a fort (with help)
We have three make a fort kits, 2 explorer and 1 creator. So we made a giant castle and while the kiddo LOVES it, parent assembly was definitely key. We had fun designing and building. One of the explorer kits came with half of the piece curved with made thing difficult but overall we like the product.
