These luminara candles are thee best way to light the porch or deck. They look gorgeous in our lanterns. Quick FYI, they take 2 AA batteries so they won’t last as long on the timer function as some of our others that take C batteries.

The media could not be loaded. Luminara candles never disappoint. Just perfect in my lantern that sits outside on the front porch. This candle does not look real up close, in my opinion, but is lovely and realistic in the lantern....

I like this candle for several reasons. It looks like a real candle with a moving flame. It has a timer so it will come on and go off the same time every day. Even though it looks like wax, it is a hard plastic and will not melt outside. It is to go in a Japanese lantern in the garden...it will hold up outside, look like an authentic candle and shed a lot of light without running any electrical wires. This is not my first Luminara candle. I would definitely buy this one again and again. Hope this helps.

I don't know why I keep buying Luminara candles. I guess it's because an independent website rated it the best. Really? In the past two months I've returned four. Brand new batteries were installed and the candles worked fine IF you were holding them. However, once they were put on a surface they stopped working....ALL FOUR! UGG!!

Realistic appearance and flame. Looks great in a hurricane lantern with holiday greenery and I don’t need to be concerned about an open flame. I will also use it outside by the pool in the summer, as it’s rated for indoor/outdoor use.

I've always preferred Luminara candles because of the realistic flickering "flame", so when the timer on the one I'd had for years finally stopped working, I bought this one in March 2023. During the past year we've used it inside a lantern on our screened-in porch. It's just February 2024 now and the candle light won't come on at all. I've tried new batteries, cleaning the contacts, and finally just shaking it (!), but nothing has helped. Sadly, I guess I'll have to switch to a different brand.
