I do love it. The pictures are a good representation. The place mats may even be nicer in person. When I read the description and other reviews, there was something I could not figure out - which was the material; so I thought I would try to describe it for those interested.I was worried it would be the kind of place mat that was plastic on the surface and cushiony underneath. You know - the kind that heavy items leave indentation marks?No worries- that is not the case here. It is the thick vinyl/ plastic. Easy to clean, very flat.I hope this helps. I just received them, but am very happy.

My wife really loved these tablemats. When I was shopping for some modern looking buddha placemats, I searched on many online stores including Amazon. I either couldn't find a nice looking design or they were too expensive. And then I stumbled across these. The earlier reviews indicated this to be a good product. I was concerned about one review which said that this product was small, thin and fading colors. I decided to order them anyways trusting other good reviews - and just in case if I didn't like the product then I could return it anyways. Judging my wife's reaction, I am glad that I ordered these. The colors are really vibrant and the placemats are standard size placemats - just the same size that you normally buy in stores. They are thin, but my wife likes them that way since they don't mess up the dining table setting for her. Since we have bought them, we have been using them daily. With regular use, they seem to be holding up well so far. When we place warm plates on these, they seem to be doing fine. Once I placed 'warmer than usual' plate on one of them - I did see small curl, which disappeared after things cooled down. We normally do not place super hot plates on our placemats, so this is not an issue for us. My little one has dropped a few things on these mats and we were able to simply wash them off. We did not have this convenience with cloth / bamboo placemats we had earlier. I also liked that this came as a set of 6 mats, a great value for this price.

I'm all about not using plastics, but I have grandchildren now and the old plastic placemats I've had for 22 years and I STILL USE THEM. I just like to change it up and they're gorgeous and durable.

I am a teacher and I use these placemats to put on the students yucky desks so my friends and I can have lunch in my classroom and they are perfect. Beautiful design and colors and easy to clean. Love them!

These place mats are absolutely beautiful, but after using just a couple days the color scratches off. I like to use plastic place mats in areas of my fridge as well like the drawers and a couple shelves to pretty it up and I'm afraid with these they would scratch way too easily. I wish they had some kind of protective coating because I absolutely love them and the colors and design are perfect with my loft decor.

These placemats look exactly as pictured, with attractive rich coloring. The texture is basically plastic or laminate - that part I wasn't quite sure what to expect before receiving them, but it makes them easy to clean off. They are more functional than impressive as far as setting an attractive dinner table.

Very nice design. My wife had been looking for buddha or asian design placemats for a while. But hardly any are available on Amazon or anywhere else. This one is very easy wash and maintain. Looks great on our dining table without being overwhelming in size or color. The artwork design is very classy. You also get 6 placemats for this price, instead of the usual set of 4; which is good value for money and useful for a formal dining room setting. We have used them for about a week now. They seem durable.
