No the Samsung ones are the real deal. They just dont stay in our ears very well, fall out very easily

Q: What's the difference between the u.s. version and international buds?

Samsung USA does not support warranty claims for international versions. I ordered two sets of a previous version of buds, one for me and one for my wife. They came from two different suppliers. Although I didn't notice it initially, mine had all printing in both English and Spanish, my wife's were just English. After almost a year, my buds failed to connect to Bluetooth. I contacted Samsung, sent them back, and Samsung returned them, twice, with no explanation. I called Samsung and they told me that they were the international version and the 1-year warranty is only for U.S. versions. I contacted the supplier and fortunately, they replaced them with a U.S. version.

Q: I read these buds aren't good for running, what options can you give me?

The Galaxy Buds+ (which I have and have compared to the Buds Pro) are the last generation earbuds. They are the best earbuds to get when fit is your priority. They fit very well and comfortably in my ear. They have optional wingtips to help with fit. Unlike the Buds Pro, they don't have active noise cancellation, spatial audio, or voice detection. The sound quality is not quite as good as the Buds Pro, but it is still amazing. I have worn the Buds+ while running and they stay in my ears. I recommend you get those instead.
