One of the most CREAMIEST and delightful lip balms ever! 💘
Finding a good lip balm can be such a PAIN. It becomes like it's own journey when you can no longer find what you're used to, if it's suddenly out of stock, or the cost is just too high. Initially, I LOVED using the Fresh Sugar Advanced Therapy Balm from Sephora but at $28, that's only easy to maintain if you've got a higher income or care none whatsoever about getting out of the paycheck-to-paycheck life so many of us are accustom to. I eventually discovered the Uriage Xemose Moisturizing Lipstick on Amazon at $10, which I was content with. I liked it so much that I kept buying it every month but then that went out of stock. Since then, I've tried La Roche-Posay Nutritic Lip Balm at approx $15 but really don't like it at all. I kind of hate that it has no smell whatsoever and on top of that, it doesn't really feel "creamy." It feels like it just sits on top of the lips, kind of like that Clinique face "gel" or whatever it's called; it doesn't feel like it really sinks into the lips/skin. I like using creams as opposed to lotions (yes, there is a difference, look it up lol) and I'd compare that (the La Roche-Posay one) more to the texture of a lotion than a cream. So then I tried THIS, the Avene Cold Cream Nutrition Nourishing Lip Balm and I LOVE IT. I love how lightly fragrant it is and I love how CREAMY it is. It reminds me of my L'occitane 5% Shea Butter Light Comforting Face Cream and it smells similar too! Even if that face cream is described as "light," (there is a much thicker 25% version but it can make your face very shiny lol) it's still a cream and incredibly nourishing for the skin and this lip balm is too. I really, really, really wish that the cost was closer to $10 than $15 BUT I'm happy with it and don't plan on experimenting with anymore lip balms for a while. Some may say that this is still too much money and I don't entirely disagree but I do feel it's high quality compared to many others and worth the price. Additionally, I REALLY like that this is a European product and not made in the states. EU doesn't allow nearly as many chemicals in food or skincare products and that makes me feel reassured that it's safe to use. BTW, I'm used to having extremely chapped and damaged, bit up lips and this lip balm helps me A LOT. I use ADHD medication and unfortunately, sometimes that means biting my lips to oblivion. I've worked on controlling the compulsion to prevent them from getting destroyed however, I'm not perfect and this lip balm is an amazing and healing life savor for when they're not doing great (or even end up bleeding from too much biting, ew, I know) or for when I want to maintain them at their best. I highly recommend this item. I would buy it for all of my girlfriends and even all of my female clients if I wasn't on a budget, that's how much I like this!

Love Avène!
Love Avène products. Been using them for years now! This lip balm feels nice & thick and very moisturizing. Also love their Cilcafate cream (especially during the winter months/dry skin season) and retrinAL cream.

Pretty Good
This product smooths my lips and hydrates okay. I like that it is not sticky or very shiny. It could be used lightly under lipstick as a base. After using it at night for awhile, my lips have no flakiness. I live in the desert, so I might wish for a slight bit more moisture but it is a decent product. If I do not drink or eat, it stays on for a few hours.

Feels nice but is ultra pore clogging
This goes on lovely but it gave me a pimple ON my lip - not on the side of it but ON my lip. Just not for me.

Great for sensitive, eczema-prone skin!
I suffer from annoyingly sensitive, eczema-prone skin and this is the only lip balm I’ve found that isn’t irritating. Love the hydrating, gentle formula and minimalist ingredients profile.

The best lip balm I have ever owned
I got this originally as a gift. I have tried Nivea, Vaseline, Aquaphor and Burt's Bees.. nothing is nearly as hydrating as this specific balm. My lips are always dry because I use a fan in tropical heat. This is the only balm that saves my chapped lips. I'll continue to repurchase even if It's pricy. Worth every penny.
