I bought these to install battery operated interlinked smoke detectors and they aren't any use for them. After sticking the adhesive part to the ceiling and allowing them to bond for 2 full days before attaching the detectors, they still aren't strong enough to hold the detectors up so 2 of my detectors that cost £70 each have slammed to the ground and bits have broken off. The other 2 were dangling off but I managed to remove them before they fell to the ground. Just use screws, that's the only way to ensure they stay on the ceiling

We have a CCTV camera that had fallen down to the heat and we needed to repair this as soon as possible so that the camera could continue to record.The items are easy to install one sticky side goes on the camera and the other goes on the wall.This not that dissimilar to what came with the camera but we had lost the metal plate which just happened to be same size as this item. The magnets are strong like the rare earth type that take forever to unstick. The best way to remove them is slide the camera across and the plate comes away easily. I can’t find anything to fault this item.

Well I’ve fitted these to the ceiling and to the rear of a smoke detector because I’ve got ceilings you can’t screw into without causing huge amounts of damage. The magnetic ‘stick’ on these is great. They have a sticky bit that sticks to the ceiling (in my case) and then you sticky onto the smoke detector leaving the magnetic sides to stick together.

These are a great option when you'd rather not drill into ceilings. We had to comply with recent Scottish Government legislation regarding the installation of interconnected smoke/heat alarms and were anxious about drilling into ceilings and causing damage. We bought these sticky magnets and they are an excellent solution with strong adhesive pads and equally strong magnets. Installation was so simple and quick. They've been in place for several weeks and so far there has been loss of adhesion. Thoroughly recommend these.

I redone a part of the ceiling as it had a hole in it bought the wire mesh and filled with Polly filler so was going to use the adhesive patch to put up a smoke alarm so tried to put this up with the adhesive patch ad left it for a couple of day to dry before I used the patch but lasted around a couple of days on two patches haven’t tried the third maybe soon.
