The Texas Hill Country: A Food and Wine Lover's Paradise

Just got this book and skimmed through it. Exactly what I was looking for. I am dating a man in Austin TX and am considering moving there, purchasing some land in the Hill Country ,and building a house. I've been to several of the cities in the book and eaten at some of the restaurants listed. I want to visit some of the vineyards and farms. Pictures are lovely and the book includes recipes from the many restaurants, vineyards and farms mentioned in the book. The hill country is magical. It has seduced me as much as the Texan I love!!!

My husband and I love to get away to the Hill Country as often as we can. This wonderful book has given us ideas of new places to explore and new restaurants to try. We recently went with friends to the Hill Top Cafe near Fredericksburg, based on what we had read in the book. What a fantastic evening we had! Can't wait to try out more of the great restaurants (and recipes) found in the book. The photographs are stunning and make you feel you are right there. This book will make a great gift for all our friends!

I bought this book after a visit to the Texas Hill country. It is a pretty comprehensive review of restaurants and winerys located there. I am giving it as a birthday gift to a friend. I hope he enjoys it as much as I did.

This book is a joy to read cover to cover. It contains information on great places to visit such as the hill country vineyards and fabulous places to dine in the Texas Hill Country. Great information if you are planning a visit or if you live in the area and want to know what you are missing out on. It's beautiful sitting on my kitchen island!

We're moving near to the Hill Country soon and were looking for more info and places to go once we get there. This is a great introduction to the food and wines of the region and those out of the way places you only hear about. We'll definitely use this as a reference for our travels.

This is a beautiful book. Well written and well photographed. It captures the Texas Hill Country. A must for anyone wanting to visit, owning a B&B in Central Texas, or anyone homesick for this gorgeous country. Not only do you get great narrative and super pictures, you also get some delicious looking recipes.

One of the best cookbooks I have read in a long time. Lots of great recipes and also makes you want to take a trip down to the Texas Hill County. A 5 Star book in my opinion.
