Fun to play with
Fun to play with, works great in a large area. Not a long run time and it's thin plastic. It's worth the 20 bucks.

Sometimes 2nd time is a charm.
Second one, but works really good compared to my first purchase. Cool little toy for my 4 yr. old son, he loves it. I'll give a thumbs up on it.

PERFECT for 4 & 6 year olds! STURDY and Totally Unique!
So my 6 year old son has been enamored with drones for awhile. We have picked up a few cheap ones over the last few months. The first one we got disappeared over the fence within 5 minutes of bringing it home. Oops. The next one broke all its spare propellers in the first day and refused to fly properly after that. The next one we got had protection around the propellers but was still a bit complicated to maneuver with its remote and the battery never seemed to last very long. And then came SCOOT. I picked up two of these for both my 6yo son & 4yo daughter. I stashed them away for Christmas and hoped they would be as cool as they looked in the promotional videos. OH MY GOSSSSHHHHH, they totally were!!! Both kids were occupied with them for hours. The battery life was decent for a drone and charge time was super fast. I LOVE how the whole drone is contained within a little "cage" that fully protects the propellers from getting damaged. My son thought it was fun to crash his over and over again--but the little thing took the beating like a champ and kept on going. I like that the plastic "gives" a little so that it tends to absorb bumps and falls without being damaged. The paint seems to be pretty sturdy also and has not chipped at all. My daughter was more careful with her drone and it flies just as well as her brothers. Her drone, however, has a habit of coming apart on occasion. The top half of the drone attaches to the bottom with little teeth. It's not a big deal to fix - just a little super glue or tape is enough to keep the 2 halves together. My only complaint is that they are a bit loud. I know that most drones, minus the $$$$ professional ones, tend to have a bit of a buzz to them. I didn't mind it at first but after a long stressful day I had to tell the kids to put them away because the sound was giving me a headache. The noise, however, is definitely not something that would prevent me from purchasing one of these in the future... it's simply par for the course with entry-level drones and it is a worthwhile compromise for as awesome as these little things are!! I would totally give this 5 solid stars if it were a bit quieter and if my daughter's drone cage didn't come apart so easily. I'm still confident giving this two very enthusiastic thumbs up and HIGHLY recommend it for younger kids. My 4 & 6 year olds had no trouble figuring them out. What a cool concept!!

Fingers can easily get into it. 1 hair strand will down it. Don't waste your money.
Starts of great but within a few hours I couldn't ignore all these issues.Safety: This is the biggest issue for me with these. The fans on this might seem enclosed but that only barely works for Adult sized fingers and my fingers easily slip through the slats. Any kid's finger will easily fit between them and mine got cut immediately when they caught it. Cue the tears and band-aid. They could have used a mesh instead especially as it requires you to constantly be picking it up or touching it while it is on. If it lands upside down, it will keep spinning until you pick it up and rotate it.Breaks easily: Mine cracked one of it's four stands instantly. But that was not the biggie here.Repairs R Us: After the first 4 flights of this, it started acting strange. It wouldn't fly and would simply flip over and manically thrash around and I would have to carefully pick it up for it to turn off (again watch your fingers). I immediately knew that it meant that 1 of it's 4 rotors was compromised. Get your tiny screw driver sets ready. I removed the case and was able to access the rotors and sure enough, two of the rotors had a strand of hair wrapped around their base. I removed those and it started to fly again but was back to misbehaving again almost immediately due to the same issue. So 1 strand of hair will bring this bird down or stop this from working. Yep!After my third hair removal service, I gave upThis might be fun to start with, but my experience was to shelve it within a few days of use as it was just frustrating.

Fun toy, GREAT customer service
My son fell in love with this toy when we visited his cousin's house, so we HAD to get one for him. Unfortunately, the original drone that we got stopped working after one use. I reached out to the company with pretty low expectations since the drone was so inexpensive, but they were SO RESPONSIVE. I got a response email within a few hours with some troubleshooting tips that did not work. When I responded again, they told me that they would be happy to send a replacement, which they did in remarkably quick fashion. My three year-old son LOVES this toy, which he refers to as his "flyer". It is very easy to use and I find it very safe to use in a variety of spaces in our house, both big and small. There are lights on the top that create cool patterns on the ceiling when the drone gets high enough. The only knock on the drone is that the battery runs out fairly quickly (around 7-8 minutes) and takes some time to fully recharge (~an hour). But given the very reasonable price point (we paid $25), this felt like a very fair trade-off.Honestly, I would recommend any products from Force1RC because their customer service is amazing and responsive. I feel like companies have gotten significantly less responsive, so Force1RC's support was a breath of fresh air.

Easy to use, but cheaply made
The drone works right out of the box. easy instructions and kept my child busy while the battery lasted. each full charge last about 5 mins of airtime. After a few crashes, the drone sensors stop working and on occasion the drop flies out of control and wildly. While my child was excited to have a drone to play with, not recommended as a long-term toy.

Fun but battery life is meh
Charges quickly but doesn’t have a very long running time. Happy with the build, it kinda has a flexible “cage” around it to protect it.Fun to use, flys well. We got this for my sons birthday present. It was the present everyone wanted to play with after all the presents were opened.
