hello,this monitor have no battery, so you need connect the power when you use it.

Q: Is it ok that they lose power instantly when car is turned off and can i have one boot into hdmi mirror mode? my 4 y/o can not navigate the menus

Yes, when the car is turned off, the power will be cut off immediately. and you need to connect the HDMI cable when you use the mirroring function.

Q: Is there a way to load the hbomax app on the home screen?

Yes ypu can download the app and place a shoercut on the main screen. I have it set up loke that now.

Q: El monitor tiene para conectar a wifi ?

You can also choose not to connect to wifi, just copy the movies in your U disk to this monitor to watch.
