I got this LEOTEC Portable AM/FM Radio for my husband for Christmas and he actually uses it every day — which says a lot! Right out of the box the reception was much better than we expected. We don’t get great signals in our area, but this radio pulls in stations clearly, both AM and FM. The big tuning knob and clear dial make it easy to find stations, even for someone who isn’t tech-savvy. The speaker is bigger than it looks and the sound is clear and loud enough for everyday listening. It’s not a hi-fi system, but for a little radio it does a solid job. The dual power option (batteries or plug-in) is super handy, we keep it plugged in most of the time but can grab it and take it anywhere without fuss. The earphone jack is a nice touch too if you want quieter listening. Overall, this radio does exactly what it’s supose to do.

A truly great radio. It’s very easy to use with a single button for each function. It sounds fantastic and even makes a decent amount of bass. It can get quite loud without distorting but also sounds good at low volumes. The A/C power supply is built into radio chassis so it uses an old school plug instead of a wall wart which was always the hallmark of a good radio. The display is clear and bright with a white backlight. This is the best budget small portable radio I’ve tried in a long while. This will be my go to travel, beach, and camping radio for sure. I highly recommend this Leotec radio.

What a pleasant surprise when I opened the box and lifted out this radio and saw it was exactly as described! I chose the beatiful white one because I wanted to see it in the dark when my electric might go off due to a storm. It did not disappoint me. The station dial is so clear and the volume knob so easy to take hold of. I am a small woman, and my hands lack the strength to fool with tiny, slippery knobs. I inserted two "D" batteries and the sound produced was as loud or soft as I wanted it to be. I can also use the electric cord as an alternative. The sturdy, straight handle that runs the length of the radio is so convenient to grab. I feel prepared now for whatever the weather or other emergency throws at me. Great radio. Slim,compact, easy to operate as it's basic. Great sound. Very pleasantly surprised and really enjoying it. Thinking about getting another one. Operates as plug inor on batteries. Perfect.

bought this as a gift for my father who is vision impaired. he enjoyed the strong signal it gets. he really enjoyed the white noise and nature sounds for sleep. the speaker is really loud. i had to tell dad to turn it down.

I love the look of the radio and a lot of stations I can hear. However, I am not able to hear 960 AM very well. It was the main reason why I purchased the radio. It had a lot of static on 960 am, so we are making the best of it.
