Folding Magnetic Chess and Pieces, Set Wooden Board Travel Games 10 inches

Beautiful board at an exceptional price. It's basically what you see in the illustration, though with perhaps not quite as glossy a finish. The board and pieces are magnetic, so an accidental bump of the table won't have you scrambling to put things back together and trying to figure out if this piece was here or that piece was there. These sets are apparently made in India, and I've read other reviews that complain about inconsistencies in the carving, or pieces that don't stand up straight. None of that was a problem with the set I got. As far as size goes, it's just perfect for casual game-play with and between my daughters. If you're tired of plastic chessmen on a cardboard playing field and want something with a more "classic" feel then don't hesitate. A nice plus is that when stowing the set away, the pieces all fit into a cut-outs, so they don't rattle around and there's no possibility of accidentally leaving one out.

I purchased this for my class as agame to play during rainy days. The magnetic board keeps the pieces in place and the pieces mold helps to make sure no pieces are lost.
