Doesn’t Give Me Raccoon Eyes
Sometime after I turned 50 I started having issues with any and all eyeliner migrating from my upper lid down to my lower lid “raccoon style.” I tried various pencil eyeliners, yet the problem persisted. I was so glad when I discovered this product because it does not migrate like the pencils did. This product comes in a small pot with an applicator brush and has a kind of waxy consistency. It is easy to apply and does not irritate my eyes. It is somewhat water resistant, though I don’t know that it’s completely waterproof. I wear it for hanging out in the pool and it holds up, but for something more active like lap, swimming, water-skiing, or surfing it might not. This eyeliner is an all-around win for me.

its awesome
i never write reviews but i just HAD to say that ive been struggling with eyeliner for so long but this one is absolutely perfect. glides amazingly, so easy to apply (and thats saying something, because i have a strong fear of going near my eyes in case i poke it lol) but it also lasts the entire day barely even smudging. just so so good.

Does what it says
Update 9/4/24: the more the product is opened and used, the more it dries out to a thick paste rather than a gel - BUT - for my older, deep-set eyes that can't handle a "cat's eye" look, this is actually good news, because, unlike my initial review, I now find that I can use it easily for a smudged look, and it still lasts. The only thing I don't like is that the brush is so hard it's like painting with a stick, and that the product "pills" in application as it dries out over time. I recommend using your own brush. I really wish they'd make this in a dark charcoal and a light dove grey, as well as a slightly lighter brown. But I love the brown; it's a good basic warm brown that goes well with all other colors. Finally, an eyeliner that lasts and doesn't move around (smear or disappear). I have deep-set eyes and have always struggled to find pencils that will last and stay put. The only way I can get eyeliner to work is to dip a brush in glycerine-based makeup setting lotion and paint a line of dry-pressed eyeshadow powder onto my lids. Until I found this. The curved brush is a great idea because you can avoid touching your lashes with the product while applying to lids. The only thing is that you can't smudge it if you don't want a hard line. (You can if you work very quickly, but then it doesn't stay put as well.)

Snorkeling proof
Goes on smoothly. Zero smudging on my super oily lids. I’ve swam in the ocean with this & it stayed.

Excellent
I have many eyeliners, including several high end liners with a price tag to match. This one is my favorite. The applicator glides it on smoothly and consistently, better than any pencil or liquid liner. It doesn’t smudge and lasts all day. The only slight downside is that the product gets a little dry long before the pot is empty, but at this price I can afford to replace it as needed.

Did not live up to my high hopes.
I chose this product because I'm always on the lookout for a simple, matte brown eyeliner with some real staying power. I purchased this in the brown color to give my eyes more natural looking tight-lined definition with a bit of eyeliner under the eyes for the summer. I tend to prefer gels since I have very oily skin, and only gel liners and waterproof liquid liners are the only types that stay on all day into night without fading, running, or smudging. I love gels particularly since you can create thin, defined lines for a polished look or thick smudgy lines for a more smokey look. My go-tos for gel liners have always been Bobbi Brown or Stila's smudge pots, but I had tried a cheap gel liner from E.L.F. that gave the other 2 more expensive brands a pretty good run for the money. With Maybelline being even cheaper, boasting ~24 hour~ wear, AND being readily available at my local drug stores, I had hoped this gel liner would become my holy grail. However, it was not meant to be. Even with my favorite eye primer on, and applied with the best lining brush I own, this gel doesn't last more than a few hours before it smudges and fades into nothingness. I'd understand if I were swimming or hiking or something, but this is while I'm computing in an air-conditioned office. Frankly, smudging plain eyeshadow with a bit of primer has lasted even longer on my eyes than this stuff does. It looks beautiful when first applied. The color is a deep coffee brown, no shimmers, and is true from pot to skin. It's just a shame it doesn't last even 6 hours on me, let alone a full 24. I would not buy this again once this pot has been used.

Nice
The color was pretty great, and the application process with the brush is so nice. The texture was perfect and not clumpy, though sometimes takes me a couple reapplications on the brush to get a good amount of product on my eyelid
