Q: So can this vent inside a basement with no odor? We bought a house that has zero roof vents. Can this be used in place of those?

Don't think I 'd iinstall it in the basement. It needs to be above the fixture(s) that it vents. I've used smaller AAVs for indivuaul fixtures and placed them under the cabinet/sink or in the wall. The larger AAVs are desgined to handle several fixtures and replace the need for a large vent that penetrates the roof. These I've placed in the attack (below the roof but inside the building) and have not had any problems.

Q: How long does one of these last until it needs to be replaced? Is there a way to tell if it has failed besides escaped sewer gas smell?

Package shows limited lifetime warranty. I assume when you smell sewer gasses, it has failed, but I really don't expect it to fail. All I know, is that it works and so far, I'm very pleased with the performance.

Q: Does it come with a push-fit connector donut (wide o-ring) for connecting to inside of 4" pipe? Shown on spec sheet, but not for item.

No… just the item. Fits inside 4” sch 40 PVC coupling or 4” Fernco rubber coupling

Q: Is it acceptable to use a rubber boot?

This goes INSIDE the attic. No boot needed.

Best product to keep sewer gas out.. install takes seconds

The product is amazing it has a rubber gasket attached to it that fits over a 3-inch pipe or slides into a 4-inch pipe. I had a different brand put on last year when there was a lot of pressure it released a gas smell. And the other one went bad and I could not get the gas smell out of my basement that's sewer gas. I put this on yesterday came down this morning to the basement it smells fresh and clean with no sewer gas. I am excited to have this product well worth the money.I have attached the studor photo... and the competitors that does not work

Great product, works and an easy option than running vertical vent through roof

This is an excellent solution for a bathroom that is away from the main stack. Releases vacuum which allows flow of water out of sink, shower and toilet. An recent innovation for US that comes from Europe.
