Has this trap been reviewed on Mouse Trap Mondays?

As of 30 oct, 2020 Mousetrap Monday has reviewed only the smaller version for mice. He did say he would review the rat trap later.

Which way is it turned on?? i can't tell. one direction causes a green light for a second and the other way does nothing.

Slide the switch toward the opening where the mouse goes in and that's off. When you slide the switch away the opening the green light comes on to tell you that the batteries are good. The green light then goes out and it's ready to cook the mice. After there is a dead mouse inside the trap, the light will flash red every 10-20 seconds to tell you that the trap has been tripped. Slide the switch toward the opening and then open the trap and dispose of the mouse.

Can you use it outside??

First off, yes, Mousetrap Monday has reviewed the rat version a year after the mouse one and likes it! - I've used that other trap with the purplish color and blue side labels. It's caught voles (who do come out at night and run along the house wall). When there was rain or a chance it would seep under the porch, I've just placed that other trap on some wood to get it off the concrete and out of reach of water. What I DON'T Like about that trap is that it's very difficult to bait as there is no "door" or easy way to access from the back on the bait side and you have to push through the peanut butter on the end of a 10 inch stick or attempt to drip it into the trap at an angle to get it to the final electrical pad that the rodent has to lick in order to set off the electricity. As time has gone by, that end of the trap is turning nasty as you have to roll a cloth or papertowel onto the end of a stick like a giant Q-Tip to wipe that end of the trap out. This one looks better designed and easy to use and clean out. Shawn suggests that you make sure you buy from the original OWLTRA company store as there are copy-cat listings for this trap.

It worked! We had a rat that had started living in the house after a nearby lot was cleared, and didn’t want to end up with more. We put this down as well as separate poisoned bait in the garage. I wasn’t sure at first if it was going to work. But on the third night we had success! The rat was caught and dead, with a really easy cleanup. The flashing light to say its caught something works really well. It also feels more humane compared to traps that might not kill as cleanly. Interestingly, it must have walked past the separate bait and not taken a single bite as it was undisturbed - so I’m really happy I got this.

Top-Produkt ohne die üble "Sauerei" bei den Schlagfallen. Wir haben damit erfolgtrecih die Mäuse von unserer Terrasse entfernt. Die Falle ist solide verarbeitet und braucht wenig Strom.

Récemment, ma maison a été infestée par une population de souris. Malheureusement notre chat ne nous a pas aidé car il ne faisait que jouer avec et je suis obligé d'intervenir à chaque fois pour y mettre fin ! J'ai acheté ce piège car j'en ai assez du bruit qu'elles ont fait en rongeant le polystyrène derrière les murs en placoplâtre. Après quelques essais avec différents appâts, j'ai enfin trouvé le bon : il s'agit du riz collant cru. C'est à la fois propre mais surtout efficient. J'en ai à ma quatrième souris en moins d'une semaine. Il faut être patient au début et surtout ne pas oublier de bien nettoyer l'intérieur du piège après chaque prise.
