What a great read about being successful in such a humble business!The author described in easy to understand language the success that can be found in a business that is quite easy to establish.Describes the work involved, but also the benefits derived as well.Very innovative techniques are shared as well, which look like they would be exiting to try.

I don't like to slam products or books on amazon but I felt compelled to share my views on this one.If you are looking for a in depth business view on how to open a Hot Dog or cart business look elsewhere.I feel like this author probably makes up most of what he wrote. This book is the obvious about business. No real details.The only facts he has he recycles throughout the book. "Go set up outside a business where there is foot traffic." "Be friendly" "Set up at a fair or venue." Completely obvious stuff.Nothing about permitting, Licencing buying wholesale, etc.There apparently was no editor or proof reader for this publication because its riddled with typos, incomplete sentences and nonsense. In fact the beginning of the book, in the first few pages he is talking about Ice cream truck. So.... like it was written by someone in Junior High School.The things you already assume you know about the hotdog business is all there is.I think he probably made a series of books like this with no real skill set. Just to simply to sell on amazon but they hold no real value or insight.Sorry.

There's a lot of good info in there. It's a little dated. This book has been updated since originally published but still needs to be proof read. Sometimes he rambles, sentences that don't make sense, odd transitions to other subjects. I expected more from someone with Perry Belcher's grandiose reputation. The book covers the basics of what running a hotdog cart can be like. Not bad but not great either. Don't make it your only read on the subject.

Easy to read! Just follow the author's suggestions and apply them to own your own business! I bought a cart, and license and I couldn't be any more satisfied!

Informative entry level book about owing your own hot dog stand. Takes you from start up to adding additional carts to your business.

awesome book, it helped me a lot to start my own vending business. Now i know exactly what to do to get started.

good choice if your really interested in the vending buisness im mean seriously interested in vending the right way step by step

Despite being "updated for 2011" this book clearly has had no third-party proofreading or editing. The very first page of the introduction makes two references to starting an ice cream truck business and being an ice cream truck vendor. I gather that the author wrote a previous book on that topic and couldn't be troubled to use the "find and replace" feature of Microsoft Word while copy-pasting the ice cream content into his hot dog book. And on the second page of the introduction we're subjected to this gem of a sentence: "Because of this, you should be sure to check with your own attorney or accountant before you get started in this or any other business all beef hotdogs." Whether or not the book has any useful information in it, I can't be sure, because with writing skills subpar to those of a fifth grader, I don't think I can bear reading past the introduction.
