What smell does it have and does it smell longer than the strips?

Hello, Vicks VapoSteam is made to be used with a Vaporizer and has the same type of smell as Vicks VapoRub.

Why doesn't it evaporate with the vaposteam? I've ran it several times and the medicine cup is still full?

You know I'm really not for sure but with mine it also does the same thing although I did notice that the Vicks Vapo steam medicine is not as strong after each use so just use the recommended amount of the product and proportionate amount of water in the vaporizer and you will probably notice the difference.Also it's in an oily form so when it heats up the vapors emit and the oils are left behind and would not evaporate just the medicine within.

Can you use with cold water humidifier?

It should work but will not be quite as effect is what my thoughts are. I have used it on both cold and warm
