It is more like a "happy pill". It helps to put you in a more positive mood. Works for most people with mild depression. If you suffer from occasional bad, or sad days. Can also help reduce anxiety levels. Can also help with anger issues. Normal dose to start with is 300mg-500mg. If you use this product, normal dose is listed as 2 capsules to get the 1100mg. So take just one of these per day for about 2-3 weeks. I have been taking St. John's Wort supplements for over 20 years. 300mg was ok. Better with 500mg. On a highly stressful day, I would either take 2 at the same time, or 1 in the morning, & one later. Every person is a little different. Find the dose that works for you. May take a month or more to work out proper dosage. Then just keep using it every day.
