I have been using Kitchen Aid products since 1993. I had learned about Kitchen Aid stand mixer when I was in cooking school. When I had my internship in French restaurants in New York City, I saw pastry chefs in four star French restaurants using them to make their pastries. I found it very handy, reliable and efficient. The wire whip attachment whips egg white and heavy cream very easily and evenly. Of course, you have to know the basic of whipping, otherwise over whipping is common with a powerful machine like it. You may use a hand held mixer to do the same task. However, you will find that a hand held mixer is slow and you will feel tired very soon if you have to make a big order of egg white or whipped cream. I bought this product not because I need a replacement for my old one which is still strong and like new. It is because my friend bought a Kitchen Aid stand mixer model K4SS which doesn't come with the wire whip and the dough hook. I strongly recommanded to him to get both and he did. That is why I ordered it for him. I still strongly recommand it to any pastry maker if he/she is serious in pastry making.

Perfect length for our Kitchenaid ProLine K5M5. Instructions say Handwash Only, which is fine with us.

Quality seems good (will need time to see if wires stay in place), but getting the right whip for the right KitchenAid is the hard part, wasted a lot of time checking model number against product codes, maybe because my mixer is several years old? Works fine, fits fine, just a little too complicated to match part numbers.

It works great but my only complaint is every time I go to put it on or take it off I’m getting this residue on my fingers and it’s been used many times and washed.

Works fine, quality construction, easy cleaning. Bought it for a vintage Hobart/Kitchenaid mixer the neighbors had put out on the street. My intention was to clean it up and sell it on eBay, but this old mixer weighs a TON - the old ones are enameled steel, not aluminum - so there was no way I could sell it as shipping would cost a fortune. So I decided to buy some accessories and put it to use. Now I'm making cakes, cookies & breads because all I have to do is pour all the ingredients into one bowl and flip a switch.

The product is fine and it's not Amazon fault. KitchenAid made a couple different models for the 5qt tilt head stand mixer. My model has been discontinued and so it has been a nightmare trying to figure it out. These tilt head mixers all look the same to me! Obviously the bowl size is different. Anyhow nothing is wrong with it just be aware that it might not fit the KSM you have. Check your model number underneath your mixer first.

Fits our mixer perfectly and does what it is supposed to. Cleans easily. 10/10 do recommend.
