The only problem I have had with this product was the remote. When the light arrived, the remote only partially worked so I could only operate the lighting manually. It took some time to get a replacement remote (several weeks) through Saltwateraquarium.com but when I was finally able to contact customer service, the new remote was sent out in a timely manner. With a working remote, the product works great!! You can program four color spectrums for intensity and it comes with a sunset and sunrise function that allow the lighting to increase/decrease over time like a natural sunset/sunrise. It has a number of other functions including rolling cloud cover, thunderstorms etc. which I haven't used much. It also has the capability to operate wave pumps for a saltwater tank. I only use the lighting for my freshwater planted tank and am very happy with the result.

I started a reef aquarium a few weeks ago and bought this light to replace the tube lights that I had from my previous tank. I can not believe how much my coral has grown in the last few days after installation. Everything looks like I had used miracle grow on steroids.The installation and configuration was simple and only took about 20 minutes to read the directions, install and configure the timer. The default schedule is great out of the box providing an early morning sunrise, very bright daylight, sun set and then a 6 hour moonlight before turning off for the night.You can adjust the duration for each of the phases to meet your needs and schedule. I am not a fan of the "Weather" features but you can have thunderstorms, lightning strikes or rolling clouds if you would like to have those effects as well.It has the ability to control your wave maker and pump as well but I am using equipment from another manufacturer and not sure if that capability exists. Will have to do some research. But if you are using Current USA pump or wave maker you are all set.My overall impression is that this is a solid product and easy to program and is flexible to meet your needs for a healthy reef.

Bought this light as I am setting up my tank. The remote does not work. I've sent an email and called support most of the day. Now they are closed. The light seems to be great however I cannot adjust the time or any other presets.Update: I don't want to have to send this 6ft light back. 7 days ive been waiting. One lady called me back and I missed the call. Called right back. Nothing. Seriously the absolute worst customer service I have EVER experienced. I don't understand why it has been so hard to send out a new loop or remote or even walk me through a possible error through set up. So disappointed.Update: 11 days no repsonse despite making several more phone calls. Will be sending back this weekend.Returned the light and the next day I got an email for a free remote. 3 weeks and I was never contacted.

Ensure that you connect the power from the transformer and the power cord from the LED strip to the SAME side of the Light HUB. I was rushing to get it installed one night and had one connected to the upper right and the other to the lower left. They fit, but the light would not come on.Also, know that you can't override the "Light Cycle Overview" shown on the lower half of Page 6 of the Installation Instructions. There is ONE ON and ONE OFF per daily LED Light Cycle. So if you set the Clock and your daily On and Off time, the diagram on Page 6 shows how the Light Cycle proceeds per Current's programming. You can't, for example, set a separate On and Off time for the "Daylight" portion and another for "Sunset" or "Moonlight", but you can adjust the Color Spectrum of different lighting stages.it worked great once I pulled out the instructions and reread them and understood what you must do and how exactly to do that and also what you can't do - adjust on and off times of the different stages of lighting.

I love not having to turn my lights on and off and it is easy to program when sunrise and sunset happens and adjust the colors for sunrise/sunset, day and moonlight. The gradual light changes don't startle the fish and it is good there is period of dark as well.I like how you can actually run 2 light strips off them so you can add another one at a later point or have it controlling a light on 2 different tanks.I prefer the bluetooth adapter which is even easier to use but you can always add it at a later point.I do use mine on freshwater tanks with plants that don't have high light requirementsI have multiple ones and out of 6 of them and I did have a single issue where the controller wasn't working correctly (the clock wasn't changing) and after contacting them via their website they promptly sent me a new controller.

Multiple settings to summon your fish to dinnertime. LED's are lackluster. The pics provided show the lights at 100%. Remote included-big deal. The remote is programmable but isn't the most responsive after 30 days of use with a range of >5'. I gave it two stars instead of one because you can simulate a 30 minute thunderstorm if you happen to be within a few feet of the receiver. It's lightweight and the cats find it to be a rather practical base of operations for what else, fishing. My cats give it a 4 star review for this reason but since I was dumb enough to blow too much on this item and not heed other reviews, I'm giving it a 2.
