Top quality Instax wide film with a black border, , works as advertised and is easy to use. I really like the black border instead of the white and will probably use this more often.

This Instax Wide film works with the Fuji Instax Wide camera and the new stand-alone printer (a brilliant device - well worth looking into). It is essentially the original Polaroid instant film, and to my eyes at least, Fuji have improved the picture quality. Images are vibrant, sharp and detailed. The finished pictures have a semi-gloss surface. There is a broad area at the bottom of the picture surround which accommodated the pods containing the developing chemicals. This is all well and good, but I can't help wondering why Fuji chose to base new hardware on such an antique technology. OK, it works; and if it isn't broke, why fix it? But I always considered the rival product that Kodak developed, and for which they were successfully sued by Polaroid for patent breaches, was a superior product. A giant like Fuji could surely have advanced the concept. The original film features a white surround and Fuji have recently marketed an alternative with a black surround. This does make the picture stand out and I find it preferable. The problem is that at present (summer 2022) it is hardly ever available. Apparently Fuji's new Instax Wide printer is phenomenally successful, so maybe it is just that Fuji can't meet demand for the newer film. Time will tell.

Great alternative to the standard white frame Instax film. Just a shame that there aren’t nearly as many options for wide film as there are for Instax. Never mind though, we all know that Instax wide is for serious photographers anyway so this is all you’ll ever need.

Very happy with this film. Used it for a trip to the countryside in the summer and the black border really makes the colours pop. However, photos retain a nice elegant look.

Prints as great images. Love black frame compared it standard white
