Your hair will love it!
I absolutely love this soap! It smells amazing, for me the primary and more dominant scent is the Patchouli, it takes me back to when I was a boy and my dad would wear his patchouli oil, I’ve always thought about patchouli as a manly man fragrance because that to me is the type of man my father is. As far as the bar itself when I opened the box, I got a strong scent of it and that tells you it’s kept fresh and it’s high quality soap. It lathers nicely, the suds are not light a brittle like regular soap, they are nice a heavy and thick, almost like whisking oil and cream. It rinses off nicely leaving your sling and Jaír coated with the moisturizers it’s composed out of, it’s not dry like other natural bars I’ve used. As far as longevity goes, I think it all deon how you take care of your bar. If you leave it in the shower don’t complain about it not lasting, if you air it out and take it out of the shower on a good soap saver you can make it last a while. I always cut my bars in half or divided it into 4 and cut it so that I’m using a small piece at a time. This one I divided into 4 because I am using it only for beard face and head as a shampoo. Body bars I cut in half. I’d say the only negative about this bar is that it’s not bigger lol. With that said though this bar can easy become my number 1 on my list.

Great, non-stripping shampoo for the price.
I love the way this bar performs and that it doesnt instantly get mushy and soggy. I've used it in my beard, in my hair, and on my face. I will say it performed best in my hair and on my face, but I have a particularly coarse follicle hair type in my beard. It calmed my hair frizz and softened my face while not leaving either greasy. While it didn't do anything special for my beard in the 2 uses so far, it didn't strip it or leave any split ends--a HUGE step up from most shampoos without getting something really nice and natural from a place like Sally's. I'm neutral on the smell. It's definitely herbal and a little spicy. Not masculine or feminine, and not overbearing. It fades to a sort of pleasant earthy smell by the end of the shower, so I don't mind it, even if it's not particularly "my style." All in all, cheaper than Sally's, great for all but really coarse hair (and still completely satisfactory/better than most there, even if not as noticeably moisturizing as in other applications), and the smell is decent. I will definitely be buying again when it runs out.

GREAT for face, beard & body - NOT GREAT on hair
This was my first natural bar soap choice and was a good one. My husband commented how soft and moisturized my skin felt after a month of using it. I'm now on my second bar (each lasted about a month using a natural ramie soap bag which I highly recommend for bar soaps) PROS: Soft skin and beard No itchy, dryness after a hot shower Face felt moisturized Big Bar - Lasted about a month with once daily use Exfoliates Nice smell that doesn't linger past the shower Good lather (lathers even better in a ramie bag) CONS: NOT GOOD FOR HAIR - Left my thick medium length normal hair with a heavy greasy film that I couldn't wash out. It was like I had stiff product in it. If you're going for the slick combed back look, then this may be great for you. I had to use baking soda on it two days in a row just to get it somewhere normal again. Dark charcoal residue ran down the shower and collected under the mat. Normal for charcoal soap but still a bummer. IN THE END: It checked 3 (Face, Body, Beard) of the 4 boxes for me and I could live with that. Just wish they made a non-charcoal version.

AWESOME soap!!!
I love this soap! The smell is AWESOME! I also like the oatmeal in it, which helps with exfoliating. The bar is black, but it doesn't leave any weird stains... with the exception of the soap dish. The black sticks to the dish or shower shelf but washes right off with water so it's not really a "stain". I think my only complaint about this soap is that it disappears so quickly and it expensive. I also used other soaps like Indigo Wild's Frankincense and Myrrh which is awesome and a great second choice option... and it's two bucks cheaper, BUT I still think the price is warranted here when you consider this soap does it all; body, beard, and hair and it handles all of these very well. In fact, while using this soap I did not use my normal conditioner on my hair and the results were still very good. I am very impressed with this brand and will likely buy it again... but I sure would like to see it a couple of bucks cheaper.

Great soap, powerful smell, short life.
I bought this soap because it claimed to be a 4 in 1 bar of soap capable of dealing with itchy, dry, skin and dandruff. It came in a nice box and the soap has a nice texture but the bar is on the smallish side. I would say the bar is about 3in x 2in x 1in. The soap has a..... very potent aroma. So much so that it can be smelled at about 15 ft away in a slight breeze post shower. What the aroma smells like is honestly very hard to place. There's definitely hints of tea tree in there but then there are almost chocolaty undertones that are punctuated by smells that I'd describe as almost mold like. It's really hard to place it. It's not exactly bad smelling but not great either. As far as it's effectiveness it did in fact take care of my dry, itchy, skin and dandruff in as soon as the first use. And can be used as a shaving lather as well though I found it to be on the wanting end of that. I really enjoyed only needing one thing in the shower to clean with though. No bottles, no extra stuff just a bar of soap. It was nice, for about 2 1/2 weeks because that's about how long it lasted for me showering once a day. And there's the rub. I could justify spending $10 on a bar of soap that causes my wife to avoid me for about an hour after I shower and not only replace what I currently use but does a better job at it if it lasted for at least a month.

One bar = 4-5 months
All right guys, let's get to the key points that you really need to know: 1) Using it only for my hair and face, washed daily (short to medium-length, thick hair), it lasted me for four months. Seems to be the best value for bar shampoos at present. (Update November 2019: my second bar lasted me for five months, despite lathering more than I did the first time.) 2) Scent is pleasant but was initially overpowering - opened the box and my entire apartment smelled like the bar. For the next two week my bathroom smelled like what I'd imagine the factory making these smells like. I'd even smell it in my bedroom... which is separated from my bathroom by a hallway. I smelled it on myself the first day after I used it, which never happens with shampoos or soaps. Whether I got used to it or whether the smell fades away with time, I can't really say. Either way, started using this when my wife was away on a trip, and she didn't remark on an overpowering scent when she returned. It became a non-issue with time. (Update November 2019: second box either wasn't as overpowering, or I've grown used to it.) 3) I normally control dandruff by switching off between salicylate-based and zinc-based shampoos. Dandruff flared in the initial days after switching to Bossman, but then went away. Other reviews made this sound too good to be true, but I'm a believer. (Update November 2019: I had to briefly switch back to my old shampoos, and in addition to my dandruff coming back, my hair felt much thinner. Returning to Bossman brought the dandruff under control again, and my hair feels healthier to the touch again.) Look, I'm writing this review because I came back to the product page to buy it again (Update November 2019: and a fourth time). Doesn't that say everything you need to know? I will say that if they offered this product with different scent options I'd try them out, though. One weird thing: the box says there are "no floaning agents" in the shampoo. Sounds great... but what is it? Even the mighty Google doesn't know. Perhaps it's a typo. No matter - still ordering again! (Update November 2019: this typo was fixed.)

I usually don’t trust these multi use formulations…
I had my reservations for this soap because I never had any good experiences with 2 in 1 type products. Head and beard hair are different and facial and body skin are different, so requires different products. But I’m traveling a whole lot and need to cut down on bulk. Am I ever surprised how well this bar is working! It’s helping my dry winter skin as well as my dry head (I buzz my hair). It feels like I have a body butter on when I step out of the shower. And it works wonderfully on the beard. We beard guys know bar soap is pretty much a sin, but this is leaving it quite soft. I think some dedicated beard washes still win out, but if looking for an all in one product, this is certainly the best choice. I feel this eucalyptus and tea tree scent is quite neutral. I don’t really smell it all that much on me out of the shower. I personally like that as I try to go unscented or neutral in all my body care products (I use separate fragrances for different types of occasions). It is expensive, but it works absolutely fantastic. Also for reference, I’m using the bar everyday on the whole body and is lasting me about 3 weeks.

A heck of a lot better than traditional soaps and body washes/shampoos
"Update" I still use the soap and recently revisited the comment section for some casual reading. The negative reviews coming from Adults that use the Bossman soap dish while leaving water in the dish, No brainer the soap will dissolve and self explanatory why customer support was unfriendly. The dish is for travel use like any other travel soap dish, The photos in the bad reviews Provide the examples of what the travel dish is not intended for. Those reviews should be removed due to lack of common sense. This soap is damn good. While standard soaps and all in one versions are not always irritant free, this soap is. This soap does a great job of washing my hair and beard, also is great for the body and does not dry out my skin. Does not overload my hair or beard with irritating conditioners and allows my beard to be more receptive of beard oils and balms. Cent is good and is not aggressive, for women it is not an overly manly scent.
