Aesthetically pleasing
I can't say about operating system. Only had a few weeks. Charge daily. It does what I need. It fits my need of smartwatch and branding. I love FOSSIL. This watch is pretty. I like changing the face frequently so it's like a new watch. I did change band as one that came with it was too big. Unlike all my other fossil watches you can just remove links with clasps.

From Smart to only ‘Watch’ after 30 days.
Do not buy. Smart features on watch stopped working after the return window closed:-It shows the time and such, but won’t connect to my phone anymore, so no use for the only reason I got it for.-Battery doesn’t even last a whole day?? I charge my watch for HOURS (note it charges quick, 100% within 45mins I’d say) but if I charge it at noon, and put it back on myself, I have to re-charge before the day is over and that’s ridiculous!! Deciding between wearing it to bed to track your sleep or charge it to track your day should not be the case.(I have a feeling it might get drained quicker because it’s constantly looking to pair, yet unable)-Everytime you place it on the charger OR sleep with it, it resets your personalized settings. For instance, I don’t like the ‘always on’ or ‘tap to wake’ screen features, and every single time I have to manually go and turn them off, and trust me, after a while it’s incredibly annoying.-These last weeks I’ve gotten a prompt saying it needs to update - which it never does. I’ve followed the same directions every single day. No improvement.-Fossil app is useless.I bought this because the design is elegant, and I had the previous generation which worked perfectly until I accidentally lost it years later!I did my research and found this model was a great substitute. Which is why I was incredibly caught off-guard when this model failed all basic expectations.I don’t know if this is not a legit product, but save your money or buy from fossil directly!

Tried and failed to find a better android watch.
From 11/02/23 to 11/27/23, I wrote 3 bad reviews about the Fossil Gen 6, complaining about ...Overheating battery and the watch going into battery save mode, the sound coming back on, the watch reconnects itself to WiFi every now and then so you have to keep turning WiFi off to conserve battery, randomly freezing and not responding, it requires a lot of adjustments in the settings and permissions to properly track your workouts and display your steps, the bot email from fossil support and a few other compaints........... and then returned that watch. I purchased another brand, Garmin, that I was happy with until Garmin kept on telling me I was stressed and this increased my anxiety and stress. You see, the thing is... is I'm here today on June 10th 2024, to kinda eat some humble pie. Originally, I came from an apple watch, where the apple watch has zero personality or style or elegance, but at least everything just works. Then I switched to Android to give the middle finger to the whole apple ecosystem. Switching to Android, I didn't appreciate how few options we actually have. Long ago they promised us these fun wearable computers that would be like a personal assistant with games, notifications and news on your wrist, but something changed. Something else took over and now all smart watches are health trackers and fitness devices. I've tried a few android watches, and despite its flaws, the fossil watch is among the best. A number of other smart watches don't let you choose what permissions to give to the sensors. The fossil watch does allow that. Lots of android watches have issues with notifications but the fossil watch just has an issue with the sound turning itself back on. Lots of features on other Android watches seem very shallow, like you click on it and then there are no options, but the fossil watch is pretty in depth. Some of the options have options. So in light of not being able to find any better choices out there, except maybe the Samsung Galaxy for those who have a Samsung phone, I am here to change my review from one star to four stars. I actually missed the personality and the style of the fossil watch, so I purchased a new Fossil Gen 6 on sale 50% off, on June 8th 2024. Yep, after all my raging, I came crawling back.Once you learn how to make a few adjustments, it's a decent watch. Go into settings, system, and find the model number and tap on it 7 times. A message will pop up telling you that you are now a developer. Then go back one page and a new menu option appears; "developer options". Then go into that and turn off the setting "auto connect to WiFi while charging". This will save battery because once the watch turns its own wifi on, it doesn't turn it off, causing you to be unaware that it's using more power to connect to WiFi. Turning off that "auto connect to wifi" will also prevent the battery from getting too hot while charging. Also, when you go to sleep, charge it a bit if you like but don't put it on the charger overnight. Just charge it while you get ready in the morning since it charges so fast. This will prevent the battery from getting so hot that the watch puts itself into safe mode. Also that other reviewer is right. The Facer app has a watch face creator named Warren Silberstein and that creator does make some beautiful watch faces. ( Free of charge) Unsurprisingly, the animated watch faces seem to drain the battery faster. The face options the watch comes with do look pretty good, when compared with the watch faces available for other Android watches. You can feel when you wear this watch that the hardware is good and that there's some good software in there, but there's also some glitchy and bloated software too. Physically, the watch does not feel cheap to me personally. Just my own opinion. This watch is compatible with 18mm bands

Great watch, not enough processing power.
The media could not be loaded. Purchased 12/1/23. I absolutely love this watch. It's a 44mm screen with an 18mm replaceable watch band. It's Wear OS 3 , so it won't connect to Wear OS. It has to be connected through the Fossil Smartwatch app. It tracks heartbeat, sleep, and O2. It's incredibly accurate. It's pretty, has a nice display. Quite a few features. Fits nice on my wrist. The only problem is it will occasionally freeze if I try to do stuff to fast. That's the only con at this point. Will update if anything changes.

BIG Accuracy Problem
This watch has some really cool features and it looks great. The face is crisp and clear with nice colors. When notifications come in, some include nice photos that look good on the watch. What's bothering me is the accuracy of the steps and heart points. The numbers are all different, the watch says I have 4336 steps, after syncing with the Fossil app it says I have 5856 steps & the Fit app says I have 5994. By the days end I have set a goal of 7500 steps on the watch and the numbers really climb on the Fossil app & Fit app to approximately 10,300 or more. None are ever the same. I bought the watch especially for those features so I am disappointed of how these numbers are not even close. I wonder what else to believe on the fitness end of this watch. Is the heart rate right, or blood oxygen? The software really should be addressed on this watch. It's such a shame that a watch like this that has great possibilities I have no trust in.Another thing, the Alexa app works, but when it first starts up, it takes some time. First you have to wait about 15 seconds for it to load, then it says to "wait a minute", probably another 10 seconds goes by. Now I'm standing there in the dark wanting her to turn a light on or something thinking how ridiculous this all is. Why is it so slow?
