Q: Remote lever on handlebars work for this shock?

No. The lever for the lockout is not drilled. I tend to climb seated, so this was never a consideration for me.

Q: Is this shock through axel or quick release?

THIS VERSION USESE 15x110MM THROUGH AXLE. (BOOST) I PUT IT ON MY 2017 TREK STACHE. IT HAS CLEARANCE FOR THE 3" TIRES THAT I RUN ON THAT BIKE. THEY ALSO MAKE A QUICK RELEASE VERSION. I HAVE PURCHASED BOTH. THE QUICK RELEASE VERSION IS ON AN OLDER XCALIBER SIX.

Q: does this have a straight steerer tube or tapered?

Tapered. The non tapered uses a standard quick release, and has 100mm spacing. This fork has the 110mm boost front axle spacing.

Q: Will this work with a 180 front rotor?

Yes. My bike has 180mm shimano center locks. No problems
