Meco STAKMORE Retro Upholstered Back Folding Chair Fruitwood Finish, Set of 2

I needed extra table space for Thanksgiving but I don't have a lot of room so I bought 4 of these chairs to go along with a 30" high expandable table (Mobili Fiver purchased separately). In the table picture I have 'erased' other chairs that I had previously but the 4 facing each other are the Meco Stakmore. I was concerned because they were somewhat shorter than other chairs I was considering but I don't think you notice that while sitting on them. The padding makes them fairly comfortable. The description indicates the seat height is 19" but officially it's about 18.5" They are sturdy and fold up nicely for storage. It was a great purchase.

I didn’t see how they appeared in the box when they arrived because my husband opened the box, but they look in great condition and feel solid. I needed a cello chair I could fold away for my studio when I’m not playing and it works well. It takes a little figuring out to open, but there are clear, visual instructions on the bottom to guide you. Once you get the hang of it, it’s easy!The chairs are comfortable, stable, and feel well made. I’m not sure why some people have issues with them, but I’m happy!One possible con is the size. Make sure you compare it to a regular dining chair because they seem a little smaller, but I have a smaller frame so that works for me. I can imagine my more endowed friends not necessarily being comfortable on this chair but it does have a 300lb weight limit and will hold up fine. It’s also easy to clean!

They are a little challenging to open and close until you get the hang of it. They are comfortable as well.

The chairs have held up nicely. Some reviews expressed they weren’t very sturdy but mine have held up well and I like having a matching table and chairs. It’s perfect for my space and I can collapse them if I need to.

How many times do we find we need one or two more seats at the table? My old Samsonite folding chairs broke and I replaced them with a pair of these. My daughter-in-law loves them, says they are good looking and she feels very good bringing them out to the living room for company or at the dining table when extra guests arrive. I will eventually buy another pair of these for her. They store easily and really can be a life saver when you don't want folks to have to sit on the floor or double up on chair arms or the sofa.

I purchased two chairs to see if these chairs would work for my needs and they were excellent. There was a small issue with manufacturing on one leg and the manufacturer cleared it up right away. They fast, courteous and professional. I have since purchased a total of six of these chairs and all have been perfect. I would recommend these chairs as everyday use chairs or as folding put away chairs.

I took a chance and it turned out pretty great. The chairs were very comfortable, no hard awkward areas at the back. It takes a minute getting use to unfolding the seats, it has extra steps than from traditional folding chairs. The nice surprise was that once folded, they were designed to be able to stand straight up on their own, it's not an exaggeration, the chairs don't require a wall to lean against when not in use. They should really promote that part in the descriptions.
