Simply the best tablet
There's no doubt that this is the best tablet money can buy. The problem being you'll need a lot of money. For the price Microsoft should include the type cover and slim pen also, that would make the price more acceptable.I've had Surface Pros 3, 4 and 7. This one is faster and works well with Windows 11. It replaced a Surface Pro 4 which developed a swollen battery.Tip: Buy these from Amazon because Amazon will replace a faulty device but Microsoft won't.How could it be improved? Put back the micro memory card slot so you can add extra storage.

Surface Pro 8 - Fantastic Device
[UPDATED REVIEW]I purchased the SP8 on John Lewis for a discounted black Friday price but wanted to share my experience on here so you guys can have an idea of the experience I've had so far.First of all the Cons.Battery Life:The battery life isn't exactly what Microsoft claims it to be. I'm getting around 6 hours on 60hz refresh rate and around 5 on 120hz.[UPDATE] - I still stand by this. All things considered, 6 solid hours is not so bad when regularly browsing, streaming, word and google docs editing as well as doing some digital art.Note: Using Leonardo as my go-to digital art app and can definitively say that the surface will take a hit on battery life especially if running on 120hz. The good thing is it doesn't run slow, even on battery.Waiting for Microsoft to give us that dynamic refresh rate. [UPDATE] - still waiting. That's it.I'm not going to nit-pick on every little thing because put it quite simply the PROs heavily outweigh the cons.Everything else:The screen is much better than I thought it would be. It works as it should and is beautiful.SPEAKERSSpeakers are awesome. As long as you're not in a huge open space (I was in a sports hall) it's otherwise loud. In fact, I plugged my razer speakers into this but forgot to change audio output and binged every episode of Kevin Harts True Story on Netflix. The entire time did not realize I was playing audio from the SP8 speakers. They're genuinely really good.Fan noise. If you really listen for it you will hear it but you're not going to be bothered by it. It's doing its job and keeping the CPU cool enough to keep the surface pro 8 fast.Surface can get warm but it's not uncomfortable to the touch.I haven't ordered the keyboard and pen bundle just yet. will do so in the following week and update this review on the typing experience.[UPDATE] - I have the new Platinum keyboard and surface pen 2. It's a wonderful typing experience with a nice tactile feel with every click and tap. The trackpad is a little small but I'm willing to argue that its 100x better than all the other track pads I've used on other devices. Tracks extremely well especially with gestures. Also, the keys ARE NOT mushy to the touch. Again, they click so well. Two USB C Thunderbolt 4 ports are awesome. Still using one to connect to a monitor after I get back from work and the other for other devices and peripherals. works well so no complaints.Using edge browser and it's arguably better than chrome on this device. Not sure if it's an optimization thing but definitely isn't ram hungry. It's a snappy browser on this device.RAMI have 16 GB of ram and since I'm a 100 tabs open kind of person, this works perfectly with room to keep going.KICKSTAND.Don't care what anyone says. Microsoft has nailed it here.Charger.Charges really fast. There's an extra USB type A (normal USB) charging port on the charging brick which is cool for using at Starbucks. It means I don't need to carry a second charging brick around with me. However, it should be noted that it's not quick charge by any means.__________________________I have to say I love everything about this device. I've been getting involved more in the digital art space and I have no complaints, it's a learning curve for sure but it's an enjoyable one. I have uploaded a piece I made recently.I highly recommend this device. It sees me through work as well as content consumption with a breeze.I love reading comics, manga and streaming as this device just makes all of that convenient to do so.Will update again if anything new comes up.

Battery life rubbish and keeps going in to tablet mode
I bought the I7 version of the tablet to mainly do work stuff. The battery life is not good at all and goes to low after around 4-5 hours. The Surface Pro keeps going to tablet mode and there is no manual way to put it back in to desktop mode on Windows 11.Also - Every time you click on an app link from the start up screen it starts Edge although I have google as my default browser. In conclusion, it seems that MS have upgraded their OS to a better one which has made it worse than the last.

Avoid buying from Amazon.co.uk It %100 denies its responsibilities if the device they sold is faulty
The media could not be loaded. I am extremely dissatisfied and disappointed with the purchase from the Amazon. As I trust the seller amazon.co.uk as a seller, I bought the surface from the official amazon seller. Amazon sold me a faulty display Surface Pro 8 having serious flickering issues. Within the second or third week of buying the Surface Pro 8, I realized that the device has flickering issues and a faulty display. I recorded the issues, contacted amazon and share them with amazon. I asked for a replacement since the product is less than 1 month old, and all amazon said you can return the product or we can send it to Microsoft for repair. Returning the product is not beneficial since the new one was almost £250 more expensive than the one I bought; basically, you cannot buy a new one once you return it with the refund money. I think it is absurd to offer to send the "brand new" device to repair. I have contacted Microsoft regarding the issues and Microsoft said that we have a 60 days policy for a replacement if you had bought the device from us. I just do not understand why amazon does not use this policy of Microsoft and denies its responsibilities. My recommendation to the people who read and consider buying Surface Pro or these types of expensive products is to not buy from amazon. They basically do the replacement for shoes or other things as they are cheaper, but when it comes to such highly valued products, they %100 deny their responsibilities. They avoid the laws. I was sold simply a faulty device at the beginning and no responsibility I received from Amazon. When it comes to affordable products Amazon sold, they offer a replacement but when it comes to pricey products they deny all their responsibilities and customer service just repeats the same thing over and over again: "we do not have that option, we can only see either return or repair".
