Playlearn Large 816 Piece Straws Builders Construction Building Toy – 8 Inch Full Size Straws - Giant Pack with Wheels and Special Connectors

My kids have played with these for almost a year. They are mess when out, so if your kids don't clean up after themselves, they aren't the toy for them. But they make so many odd things out of them and are constantly playing with them. They do bend them which eventually ruins them and I toss them, and the product it's self does eventually crack on the ends and you have to toss those, but there are so many and they play with them so much I would buy them again. We have used the non flex kind that have balls, and I will say these are slightly less sturdy, but there are so many more. The balls in the other sets are so heavy you can't really put anything on top anyways so they are equal in the ability to turn them into tents in my opinion - neither do that well.

My 3 youngest kids (5, 7 and 9) got into these immediately and were fine with not watching a movie that was in the plans. They immediately wanted another set since they were out of straws long before their imagination had run out. If you had like 3 or 4 sets, the kids would be busy all day, no doubt. There was quite a few connectors left over, making me feel like they could have included more straws and less connectors, but I guess it really depends on what you are building. I think most structures will be 3D and have a 2:1 ratio going on - a cube takes 12 straws and 8 connectors. To add on another cube takes 8 more straws and 4 more connectors. I actually took the time to count up the straws and found there were 420 of them (provided none got lost, which isn't totally out of the question). I think they probably could have safely replaced 50 connectors with straws and still not risked anyone running out of connectors. That would give you at least 6 more cubes to add on. I feel like these things should be less expensive since at the end of the day it is a bunch of plastic straws and stuff, but they are not more expensive than any other ones out there.As far as quality, they seem to be fine, connect well and stay together. I definitely wouldn't hesitate to buy these, and (despite wishes for them to be slightly cheaper) I may get a few sets for summer camp stuff. Will definitely occupy the little ones who have an imagination.

I am an art teacher and this is one of the most requested and loved items I use. I use it during a 3d lesson also as a choice art activity. I was just using it with my younger students. K-3 but I got so many request from the 4th and 5th graders that I added to their choice days as well. I give very few directions with this activity, just safety (keep them out of your mouth, dont pick each other up you can't stand on the chairs to make it higher, dont miss teat them, and no spaghetti at clean up time- things like that ) I love watching the student figure out how to make things taller while following the rules, I love it when they make the unexpected, like a rocket costume. I have been using Straws and connectors for so many years. some of my former students who are now out in the working world will run into me in public and ask if I still do straws and connectors. I Love theses big mega packs, and I love that they come with a carrying case! One down side I noticed that they must've changed the plastic formula as my original sets lasted for a decade at least with minimal breakage. I notice that now the connectors break very easy which is sad.

I have 2 kids that are on the Autsim Spectrum level and i wanted something fun for them to play with and limit there tablet screen time, so i ordered this and i must say we enjoyed this. My son didnt want to take a picture but he build something but he all about his tablet but my daughter she enjoyed building her so called block tower and i did something, i dont know what i was building but it was fun to play with. I highly recommend this product if you have children that enjoys stacking or just want to be creative, this is the go to product. With this product the ideas of building something are endless and the price is well worth it and its afordable. My baby girl builded so much today she said i need nap...lol but its so worth the buy...

The media could not be loaded. It does what it says, it builds things. I was just expecting more building straws for “800” pieces. It’s a Christmas present but, they will love it. I as a parent who spent money, was expecting more then what was in there. But for your child it will be amazing.

Over all awesome product.Pros: My students went crazy all week wanting to build. Easy to use, even my students with low strength and poor hand movements could pull apart and put together. I came up with some challenges. To have them keep building.Cons or wishes:I want the colors evenly distributed. It be nice if the special pieces were completely different colors, they keep getting mixed up. For the price I wish it came with directions or STEAM challenges.One the pieces came broken.The straws aren’t a standard size so adding cheap straws doesn’t work if you want step up challenges or have shorter straws without ruining ones that came with it. And the straws can be easily damaged if stepped on. Also be nice if there was a way to buy more of the unique connectors. Trying to run groups without enough pieces.

This version of the product has proven to be enjoyable among the adults and children of our family alike. It's definitely a tool ideal for helping cultivate imagination, creativity and the understanding of possibility. Based upon what we've built thus far, there seems to be a sufficient amount, and color assortment, of pieces. Parents, guardians and caregivers should be aware the connector pegs pose a potential choking hazard to any child/person susceptible to hand-to-mouth transfer of items. Also, aggressive connection and bending of the straws isn't recommended; as the tips of the straws can widen. Needless to say, this can cause the connector straws and pegs to separate when assembling. As with most things, precautionary steps should be taken to ensure safe enjoyment of the product.

Magnifico gioco x il mio bimbo di 8 anni e anche per mamma e babbo sì divertono un sacco insieme. Si possono creare infinite cose. Cannucce robuste e tantissimi agganci. Vi riempiranno la casa di invenzioni. Bel libricino dentro la scatola per dare un sacco di spunti all'immaginazione. Ottimo gioco alternativo!

Acheté pour mon fils de 5 ans il s’éclate avec et fait travailler son imagination, sa création et sa motricité et en tant qu’adulte on se prend vite au jeu et on passe de super moment père fils.

Colorful straws that easily connect into many possible shapes and structures. The set stimulates the imagination of my 5 year grandchildren and has provided hours of fun for them.

Purchased for a 6-year-old's birthday. It kept several young children (and a couple of adults!) occupied most of an afternoon. A particular attraction was that from the relatively small and simple components it's possible to make large structures - even reaching the ceiling. The only down side is that the connectors are quite small and can easily get lost under furniture etc. They could also be a choking hazard to any toddlers who may be around. The kit comes in one sturdy plastic box with a locking lid, but there are no separate compartments for different components, so it's worth adding a couple of small containers to hold the connectors. It remains to be seen how durable the straws will be with frequent assembly and dismantling. Overall, a simple toy that allows young children to be creative and use their imagination, with rewarding results.

El plástico es de buena calidad y tiene muchísimas unidades, para poder construir cualquier cosa que se nos pase por la imaginación. Si estuviese al mismo precio, lo volvería a comprar, pero ahora es más caro.
