This is a beautiful book to return to when you need anchoring—a reminder of the role we play in the greater ecosystem, and how much more helpful and healing we can be if we listen closely to what nature is telling us.

I read this little book slowly to savor what Kimmerer has to say. I really enjoy all of her books and looking forward to some more. Her book on the Service Berry is a gem as well.

This is excerpted from Braiding Sweetgrass. I love RWK’s writings but don’t be fooled - as I was - into thinking it’s a new book or essay by her. I’ll keep it as it was inexpensive.
