I was looking for a light for an enclosed space underneath a staircase. I wanted it to be free of need to plug into a point, detect a motion when someone steps into the space (as it is behind closed doors), and deliver adequate brightness to be effective. Hoteon's motion sensor light does all of these and has done it for a reasonable period of more than a month so it is holding up in quality. This one comes with a metal base on which the light sticks on magnetically. The magnet is reasonable strong and the light stays put in a vertical position without falling off even once. The motion detection takes a second or two but always works which was very important for me. The brightness could be better but since mine is a small space (~15 sq ft), this suffices. However, if you are looking to light up a larger area then align on the expectations. This one is rechargeable via USB and I can just remove the light to charge it elsewhere. This convenience of not being tied back to place of operation is a good one to have. The charge also runs long as I havent had to recharge even once since I put it on. While it is not used very frequently, the drain (or the lack of it) of battery is excellent. Overall, it seems to be worth the premium over other similar products as it has a better form factor, usage convenience, and durability.

I got a pair at INR 1,699/-.Great product, works as advertised.It comes with a chewing strip sized magnetic plate with an adhesive foam to stick it to the desired surface (in cabins, bed side). I used it as a auto night light for whenever I wake up in the night.It works like a charm and is very sensitive to movements.The one I used in my parent’s room has an LED tubelight, and the ambient light sensor worked perfectly there, meaning that when the lights in the room are turned on, the sensor light won’t automatically turn on. However, the one I used in my room malfunctioned and I’m guessing it’s because of recessed LED lights in my room which aren’t working with the light sensors. Overall - great buy!

The media could not be loaded. One of the best. It is bright. I didn't need to nail the wall as the magnetic foil and double tape did the work without any hazzle. The motion sensor is good but not the best. The charging speed is bit slow but the single full charge will be worth weeks of performance . It's very easy install and use. For me at this price it's absolutely useful and affordable.

The product works well. There are however two issues - the battery life is at most 5 days, assuming coming on/off 15 times during night only , secondly there is no indication or light to know whether it is charging and when it is fully charged. So I have plugged to my PC USB port for 5 hours and still batterly life is as above.

Excellent product. Using in my dad's room as a night lamp. Since I have placed it above his head on the head board of his cot it senses his movements when he gets up from bed or if anybody comes in through his door. After few seconds if there is no more movement it switches off automatically. Also it is USB chargeable. Finding it very useful. Very happy with the product.

Just got yesterday and installed. Working properly as per the specification. Serves the purpose.

The product is excellent, very easy to install. The motion sensor is very good, the brightness is also excellent. The product registation for activation of warranty was seamless, just scan the barcode of the product card and fillin the detils and you are done. What is most surprising is that Hoteon is very customer orientnted, this is the first time I got a followup call from the Company asking wether the product is working fine and even assured me that the product carries a extended warranty of 15 months. I recommend this product is value for money.
