Nice piece of hardware
I'd heard not-so-good things about prior versions of this adapter, such as burnouts in high-power use, but also heard it had been recently upgraded to an N+1 version. I just received two, and I can tell you it's a fine piece of work. This is a substantial piece of hardware -- built tight and weighing quite a bit. I'm not a real fan of using phone plugs/jacks for applications where significant current is flowing, since most phone jacks I'm aware of spec maximum current capacity at 2A or not much above. But in some applications you just can't avoid them. In those cases, this is the adapter to have. Neutrik has never let me down -- ever (even their low-end Rean plugs and jacks), so I'm guessing this is as well-built internally as everything else they make. Also, the fact that the phone jack on this unit is part of an assembly intended for high-current use lends me to believe Neutrik envisioned that and did whatever they could to minimize the disadvantages of using a phone jack in that application. Highly recommended.UPDATE 3/15/2015: Major forehead slap here. This is a Hosa product, not a Neutrik product, even though Neutrik's name is stamped on the locking tab. I went to Hosa's site to get a description, but there wasn't one. So, I'm really not sure what's going on with this adapter. Did Hosa take a Neutrik plug and install their own phone jack guts into its shell? Or, is it a full Neutrik product OEM'd to Hosa, and Hosa's just reselling it? If you go out to Neutrik's site, you'll find their own Speakon-to-phone-jack adapter carrying exactly the same part number. Very confusing. Now, I've had good luck with Hosa products, but since there's a chance this is NOT a Neutrik product, I guess my original review no longer applies in full. I will say, though, that my adapters have been in service from time to time over the past 11 or so months, and I've had zero problems with them.

Get these if you don't want to relace current speaker cables that work perfectly fine!
These are awesome! Instead of buying all new cables, b/c many companies are moving to these SpeakOn connections for many power amps, & maybe even PA systems too? You don't have to spend a fortune on buying the cable, since 50ft will equal a 100 bucks for ONE cable! 100ft cable will run 150 bucks at most places! Ridiculous...!Not saying that the SpeakOns are bad in any way, but when you're already invested in at least 4 or more speaker cables that are 50ft - 100ft long, then you're $400 - $700 in the hole for cabling. REALLY! That's another 1 or more mixing board! Another DAW to upgrade or buy!Well, these babies alleviate that issue, point blank. I bought two of these, since that is what I needed for my new power amp. I used these w/ my current speaker cables, and worked beautifully! What an AWESOME idea & concept, so that you can save on the ridiculous cost & use that money for something else, like gas money to your gigs, and/or new equipment!*** Don't get me wrong, you can find the actual cables for cheaper, if you look online & research of course, but this is what I had seen at major retailers listing these cables & at those particular lengths.***GREAT product for the money!

Best Audio Adapter I Own
I have been a DJ since I was 13 so I have 20 years of experience. 1/4" cables are a lot less expensive than SpeakOn cables. They also come in more lengths, designs and they also come braided if you want a really durable cord. However, QSC and a lot of other amplifier companies only have connections to hook up your cable via SpeakOn cables.Very nice product and even at 2,000 watts I am not losing any sound quality. If you are a DJ stick with a couple sets of these adapters and 1/4" cables. If you have ever looked at the price of SpreakOn cables vs. 1/4" you know what I am talking about. These will pay for themselves in one set of cables.

2 Years Plus still works!
Does what it says, not really much else to say. Havnt opened it up or anything to inspect it but so far it works and hasnt failed yet*** Update- Its been over 2 years since purchase and it still works perfectly. Been using these on a EUROPOWER PMP2000 which uses Speakon connection, since i do not have any speakers that uses Speakon connection, these are great converters from Speakon to 1/4 TS cables.

High Quality
Speaker cables are expensive. So, if you upgrade your amp or speakers, do you want to HAVE to buy all new cables? I sure didn't. I picked up a pair of these, and I was really impressed by the quality. They are rock solid, and they work perfectly. Gigging is tough on musical equipment, and gear is expensive, so no one wants to rely on cheap plastic parts that break after 2 shows. These are sturdy, heavy, and pretty solid. I'm happy I picked up a pair, and I'm even happier that these cost a fraction of what new cables would have run me.

SPEAKON SIGNAL CONVERTER..
I recently upgraded my power amp system to a dual amp unit that had Speakon Type speaker outs, however my speaker system uses 1/4" jack inputs, these Signal Converters work great for the conversion. There is no noise, and no signal loss.. Speakon is the newest thing, and it's here to stay, so you will ned a set of these, someday.. Why Not get them now.. The price is good, the quality is great, and they work..!

Industry Standard
I absolutely always recommend spending a couple extra bucks on Neutrik over other Speakon connectors. The build quality is always higher, less prone to breakage, and works easily and consistently. Never had one come to me wired poorly or improperly.I have many of these that have been in use for years, and still function perfectly without any signs of wear. Trust your equipment to these for sure!

The build quality looks like they'll last
Had some old PA speakers that already had 1/8" speaker cables hooked up to them and wanted to connect them to a different replacement PA, which only had Neutrik outputs. So I grabbed these instead and saved myself having to buy Neutrik speaker cables. So far they work as expected. The build quality looks like they'll last. I recommend them.
