These are fantastic books for struggling writers. I love that each lesson guides students clearly through the steps of the writing process and helps them structure their writing. I and several of my colleagues are using these books with ELs grades 3-5 and they have definitely helped these students improve their writing skills. The pages are also not too "childish" in appearance to appeal to middle school writers.

A good product if you need some help with common bore I mean common core.

Not enough practice in the different genres and the writing peompta do not elicit a creative reaponse from the students.
