Mahoney's Finishes Walnut Oil and Wax Combo: Food Safe Wood Finish For Salad Bowls, Cutting Boards, Furniture a Fast Drying Utility Oil Wood Protectant

Bought four years ago and I still have much of the oil and wax to use. As I've salvaged a lot of wood furniture and items whose only defect is the state of the wood surface, these products have restored both appearance and function across all of them without fail.

I like the way it works on my new cutting board. I like the combo. Makes it look beautiful. But I feel cheated in that the wax was little more than half full. I opened and used the oil, so I can't send it back. so I just went ahead and used it. But I wish I hadn't, because it was expensive. $50 for the combo. So, buyer beware, open it first and look.

Mahoney's Finishes Walnut Oil and Wax was so easy to use and it did a fantastic job on the bare wood counters I installed. I followed their instructions and put oil on the counters for days until it was no longer absorbing. Then I let the counters "rest" for a day then waxed. They look beautiful. I bet if I had used an electric buffer they would have looked even better. All I used was elbow grease and time. I would give more stars if I could. I WILL be buying this again, I'm not at all apprehensive to use raw wood in the kitchen anymore. The oil and wax makes any water bead up and not absorb. I'm sure I'll have to reapply over time, but it is so simple I don't mind.

Works well after turning fresh wood. The oil brings out the golden colors and the wax helps protect it and keep it looking clean and fresh. Also helps prevent cracking on fresh wood. I apply the wax once a day and keep the bowls in a paper bag full of the woodchips/saw dust. Seems to help prevent cracking. Great product.

Mahoney’s oil is an excellent product for sealing natural wood. I have walnut wood countertops in my kitchen I wouldn’t think of any using any other product. My countertops are beautiful and yet functional. A couple of times a year I re-coat my counters because they do dry out. It is quick and easy to do

I love this walnut oil I use it mostly on my food grade cutting boards as well as any other projects that will be around food.

First time finishing a project and 100% happy with the result, but I have a TON of leftover oil and wax. Could have bought 1/6th the quantity and still had extra left over. No idea how the cheaper options stack up in comparison. Overall I'm really happy, just wish I could have bought less.
