Plug and Play
This thing lights up blue when it is working....it is simply plug and play...I tap into my neighbor's wifi at his um rging...and this thing stopped the jitteriness of watching his TV spectrum app and it did improved the internet performance with things like Utube videos. When you buy it you simply plug it into the USB on your laptop. I have an ACER chromebook which is a very basic laptop. This thing really improved the bluetooth wireless headphones that I had because I had read on the internet that bluetooth can slow down wifi reception...and it does slow down wifi because when I turned off the bluetooth on my ACER chromebook, the performance did dramatically improve....so I purchased this USB dongle stick adapter to enable me to use my billboard bluetooth wireless headphones....and Shazam....my headphones started working great and my Spectrum TV app on my neighbors TV started working great....It lights up blue when it is working....sometimes there is no blue light...because sometimes it is not needed....but it definately improves your wifi experience....definately worth the money!

Works for Dell Chromebook 13!!!!
This is one of the only ones that worked with my Dell Chromebook 13 as these laptops' WiFi Cards or Antennas fail after a while. This dongle was good but was extremely impractical with the long antenna. You could easily break it if you're not careful. I ultimately ended up returning it and going with the Lotekoo USB adapter which is the only other dongle/ adapter that worked with the Dell Chromebook 13 as it is smaller. If you're going to be moving your laptop around a lot go with the Lotekoo, otherwise buy this one.

Works great!
Wow! This thing works! My 5 year old Asus chromebook had started to drop the wifi connection every couple of minutes which essentially rendered it useless. Searched around the internet for solutions that a moderately tech savvy person like myself could implement. Most of the suggestions were about routine maintenance like clearing browsing data etc., things that I already do on a regular basis. A lot of the discussions sounded like gobbledegook understood perhaps by uber techies but scary to mere mortals. Somewhere along the way I read about USB wifi adapters that could strengthen or even replace the existing wifi connection in my Chromebook. Quite a few of those employed an antenna like you see on routers but that plug into a USB port on your laptop., but then I saw small ones and decided to make the small investment. .For less than $10 it was worth a try. Got it 2 days later, plugged it into my Chromebook and after a few minutes the thing started working. I feel like I have a new computer. This saves me a bundle because I was ready to go out and buy a new Chromebook.

Unstable
Bought this Wi-Fi adapter for making a diy open-wrt router. The first one was down after running over night and the raspberry pi and windows pc cannot recognize the adapter anymore, tried to reinstall driver couldn’t save it. Get a replacement from Amazon, the replaced one works fine so far, but recently the adapter starts getting really hot and the signal getting unstable. Besides that, the adapter is really outdated. I will probably buy a newer model Wi-Fi 6 adapter.

Worked Great on Chromebook...Until It Didn't
My daughter's built-in WiFi quit on her Chromebook. I had a hard time finding a USB dongle that would work on the Chrome OS, but this one did. It was awesome, literally plug and play. Unfortunately, after about three months, it just stopped working, so I have to deduct starts for value.

FCC-certified, reliable, perfect Raspberry Pi compatibility, good range.
What's not to like? I needed an adapter which I could use for my Raspberry Pi-based product. Needed to be reliable, FCC-certified, RPi-compatible, with good range. It's been going strong since November on my Pi, connected through a few walls to an AP about 38 feet/11 meters away. Bought this late October, installed in November, and it's been running continuously almost the entire time. Works out of the box with Raspbian, no extra drivers needed. Plug and play. I contacted the company on Alibaba and got a great bulk rate on 100 adapters. I've not bought the 100 yet (still working on the product) but when I do I should then know more if the reliability I'm seeing is an anomaly or representative of the quality of the product in general. I just know that this one adapter I bought is working great.

It didn't work for what it was supposed to work for.
I bought this Wi-Fi antenna for a device that works on Wi-Fi but needs a very strong signal to work properly. I was certain as I could be that I was buying the right device with the right chipset and the right Wi-Fi protocol specifications. But I plugged it into my machine, did everything I was supposed to do to activate it, and it simply didn't work. To be fair, I bought a different device from a different manufacturer, and it made my machine malfunction until I removed it and rebooted it without any Wi-Fi antenna. I have come to the conclusion that I really don't know enough about this particular kind of device to pick the right one that will work. Told it was easy, and I'm not stupid about computers. But it simply didn't work as promised. I have given up on getting a Wi-Fi antenna that will improve my device performance.
