Thanks for your question. The "ideal" waist-to-hip ratio is 0.7 which is obtained by dividing your waist measurement (38) by your hip measurement (51). So your ratio is 38 divided by 51 which is 0.74. In order to improve the number, you can narrow the waist and/or increase the hip measurement. Our size A will add 1" to your hip measurement; Size B 2", Size C 3" and Size D 4". So your ratio becomes 38 divided by 52 (A), 53 (B), 54 (C), or 55 (D). The perfect size for you seems to be C, which is 38 divided by 54 = 0.70, but because you don't want a dramatic look, you should probably go down one size to a size B. I hope this helps.
