UPDATE: It was my own stupid fault, I'll be first to admit. I had ordered the /8x filter, when I really needed the /6x filter. The filters themselves are the same - just different gaskets.I ordered it via a "work" rewards type site, so didn't get the "this does not fit your car" warning that I would have got if I'd ordered direct on Amazon.Reverted review to 5 stars, because it works as well as OEM for half the price.I have used this filter many times in the past and it's been perfect. However, the latest purchase came with a WHITE rubber o-ring gasket. I assumed that it was an "upgraded" part, more fool me - it actually leaks. I've done oil changes all my life and this is the first ever time this has happened. BE AWARE - if it comes with a white gasket, DO NOT USE it, it needs to be the black one with the tab.I've no idea why this was messed up, but it lost about 2 liters of oil in a day, so if I hadn't checked, it's likely the engine would have seized. I had to run to get a new filter and gasket from the dealer.While this filter doesn't deserve one star, I figures it'd get the most views if I rated it one star... the filter itself is 5 stars for value, just CHECK THE GASKET!

Very best quality oil filter on the market ,bar none .Was suggested by a very knowledgeable import mechanic that said it actually exceeds the VW OEM filters in several aspects.Perfect fit and will buy this brand from now on and at a fair price.

Purchased for my wife’s 2012 Jetta. Package was beat up so the filter was squished slightly so more care could’ve been put into shipping, but it was a perfect fit and cheaper than getting it from the auto parts store. Also would’ve taken days to get it delivered to my local store so this was a much faster option.

O-Ring has changed and I had not heads up of the change. The change made me monitor for leakage around rubber seal to make sure the O-Ring wound work without leakage. The old style allowed oil to leak, so this new style may be an improvement. Will monitor throughout the lifespan of the seal.

I tried an aftermarket brand the first time I changed the oil/filter on wife's VW Jetta and the gasket leaked everywhere. Changed it out with the Mann filter and never looked back. Been using now for over 5 yrs. Same exact filter fits on my Audi A3, so a subscription is the way to go.
