CulliganCFM-300CR, Faucet Mount Water Filter System, WQA Certified to Reduce PFOA/PFOS, Chrome

This is the only product (besides another identical one with a different brand label on it) that is tested to filter out PFAS on a faucet. It's a bit of a chunky piece of equipment, but I assume that's needed. I can't say whether the PFAS are there or not, but I assume the tests are legit. But it works as described otherwise and I'm happy with it.

Easy to use.

The item is clearly not new. The box was not sealed. The bag of parts appears old and the one of the adapters is discolored from use. I am appalled to have received a USED water filtration system. Is that even sanitary? Of course, I am returning it.

The battery went dead as soon as I went to use it, had to replace it

I purchased my first Culligan CFM-300CR, Faucet Mount Water filter almost 2 and a half years ago and it worked fine. My old one still works and just now needed a battery change. I rate that filter a 5 stars. The one I received 3 days ago just did not work out of the box. The light which serves as a reminder to change the filter would not come on no matter how many times I pressed the reset button. I guess I could have changed the battery my self but I bought a new unit and expected it to work. I returned the unit. The 3 Stars is an average of the two filters I ordered. More quality control is needed.

Local water tested high for PFAS. Bought it for my son's family so my grandson would not be drinking PFAS water. I'm 72 so there is nothing that can be done for me but my grandson is just getting started.

This is the second Culligan faucet mount water filter I ordered. I returned the first because it did not show green light when trying to activate filter alert light by pushing a tiny button following instruction. I got the second one in replacement because first one did not work. The second one did the same. It did not show light as well. I am beginning to not trust Culligan product anymore. Very poor quality and defective. How can two items do the same?
