G5015M12D1+6 NONOISE 5015 12V 0.200A car Audio pwm Speed Fan

I purchased this as a replacement when the cooling fan on my Samsung receiver start giving a "FAN NG" error before eventually shutting off.When comparing both fans this does not seem to be the same quality. The original fan is heavier and the propeller design is different. This fan is loud, noticeably loud to the point of being annoying but the Fan error did go away.I will note that I did try the "trick" of cutting the blue PWM wire of the original fan to run at full speed to bypass the fan error on the Samsung receiver. This fan is a few db quieter than the original at max speed so take that for what it's worth. I have never heard the fan noise change or vary so I question if this is even a PWM fan but that is speculation on my part. I did try soaking with WD40 etc but made no difference to the noise level.At the end of the day it works and this size of fan with PWM is difficult to find. It may possibly not be genuine but the part number was the same as the fan in my receiver. There may be other better options such as to cut the pwm wire of your original samsung fan and vary noise levels with a resistor or adapting a smaller fan like the noctua.

The fan I got was stupid loud when plugged in to my Samsung Blu-ray player/speaker system. It’s louder than my tv speakers alone, like a plane taking off. Seems like a cheap fan with a nonoise sticker slapped on.Amazon is shipping a replacement so I may update this review if that one is correct.
