Why did you pick this product vs others?:I've never been able to get a good edge on my pocket knife with a whetstone. I've tried the Sharpal type of sharpener with two previous tools. I really like the features, particularly the fishhook and serrated edge file. Just follow the directions and use a light hand as when you get your knife initially sharp it only takes a few strokes to restore an edge on my Case knives. I haven't used the fire starter yet. The (left) slot is the best I've found for restoring lightly nicked blade edges. You can actually see metal shavings come off! Right side has good, average ceramic rods to put a finer edge on blade, however I still find I use other tools to put the best edge, after this tool.

Not a fan of this type of sharpener. Bought it for two reasons. It was on sale and was rated as best sharpener on a website. And since it has multiple features decided to buy it. Having two sharpeners is a plus. It did a pretty decent job sharpening my Victorinox knives. And that is from someone one who is not adept at sharpening. I need more practice.The whistle did not work as well as expected. Maybe I was not holding my mouth right.

This is an easy to use, high value knife sharpener. Fits in your pocket or toolbox, it will smooth the dullest, knicked up edge with a Carbide stone and then smooth it to high sharpness with a Ceramic stone. Quick and easy!

Excellent tool! Had to sharpen an old chef's knife to cut weeds. 5 swipes on course & 5 swipes on fine & I had a 10" machete that topped weeds like butter! 🔪🔪

OK, I know there are a lot of reviews saying how amazing this is. And, let me tell you, it is! I can't speak of the fire starter and the whistle is quite loud. But the main attraction is the sharpener. Super easy to use, felt very sturdy. I was thinking my everyday pocket knife (3 inch blade, non serrated ) was getting a little dull... After a few runs through this sharpener my knife looked really sharp... How sharp? I grabbed an old t-shirt to wipe some dust off the blade... Blade easily cut through the shirt with very light pressure. For 10 dollars, I'm very happy with the results.

While it does sharpen my blades quite well the whistle is useless and the fire starter won't come out

It's a good thing I ordered this sharpener when I also got a nice Buck 3 blade pocket knife. After a few minutes I was able to put an edge on the blades. Then I finished off with stropping.
