Firstly I would like to point out the rubbish reviews below. They all have been given the gate opener to review free of charge I very much doubt that that made a gate to test it on.AnywayI have installed this onto my wooden sliding gates that I have made a while ago my gate it just a tad longer that 4m and I have made it out of fencing posts so it's really not light and unit will easily open it.Everything seems to be really well made it was a bit doubtful as it's so cheep but there's noth that I haven't seen that I thought could of been improved. The only thing is though is that the Manuel mentions about earthing the motor with the earthing tab on the motor mine didn't have anywhere to attach an earth so I ended up removing a bolt on the motor to make sure it's erthed.The chain that it uses to move the gate along is very heavy and looks well made. Cutting the chain to the correct Lent took some doing as I don't have a chain link took big enough to remove the pin. I ended up cutting it to the length that I needed and grinding the pins down a useing a screwdriver to separate the links.So for after a few day it seems well. I'll probably order some accessories after it's had a cople of moths use

The media could not be loaded.  The opener is working very well since I have installed it. I plan to put it through its paces in the coming months as we carry on through the year. I installed this to my holiday home gate and Its is functioning as designed. It is a basic chain driven system but don’t let that put you off because for the price its a well built unit. The instruction manual was very basic but if you search the unit on YouTube there is a very detailed instructional video that I follower which allowed me to do this all myself with little to no, know how.I wasn't really sure if this opener was going to work because of its size. It took about 3 hours to install it. Watch the video first and then watch it again as you’re doing it. It gives you a great deal of peace of mind. The build quality seems to be quite good despite its cheap price but I would recommend if you aren’t keen on taking your time installing this, to find someone who can do it for you.In terms of longevity I can’t comment just yet as its only been installed for a week but it seems to be able to operate well under most circumstances. It can work with a range of driveway gates like steel, wood, vinyl, and shaped as tube, panel, and chain-link. It should be achievable with household available tools but I have seen comments elsewhere suggesting that you may need to do some extra welding.All in all a great price for a reasonably well contrasted unit that is somewhat effortless to install if you follow the instructions and take your time.Hope this review helped.

4.5* Automatic sliding gate opener.I was sent this in return for my honest opinion on it.I will firstly say, I assumed this would work on our large auto midway opening gates but upon receiving it, I realise it's for a sliding gate operation only.In this kit you get everything you need except for the power cord, which is stated. This does explain how to wire this up yourself. The instructions are actually quite informative, with many diagrams throughout. They even follow on to explain how you can add security cameras and keypads, for the gate too.This gate I thought is good for the price, as it's almost half of what our current one cost (it is a good few years old) and provides a few more functions too. This can work on gates up to 12m long, you have a 20ft chain provided, which can be adjusted in size, when installing. The gate has a pair of photocell beam sensors, which send signals to the control panel to stop the gate, if anything has broken the beam from one end to the other. You do also have two keys, for emergency release of the gate, for if it's needed.You have two remote controls, the instructions to these did confuse me somewhat. I'm assuming they work for both types of gate openers, from what I could understand.The gate opener itself, is absolutely heavy duty, a decent size too but it does seem durable. The frame supplied is all metal, along with the fittings, so everything seems strong and sturdy.I am slightly gutted at not being able to use this on my own, as it seems so promising. I do think it's fantastic for the price, obviously the lack of power cord goes into this I'm guessing. Aside from the remote controls, everything seemed pretty easy to guide yourself through, although for the wiring, I'd maybe get some help with, if you're not sure what you're doing. I would recommend it, it seems worth the price.
