C55 Dash Cam 3.0" LCD 1296P 170 Degree Wide Angle with Night Vision G Sensor Motion Detection, WDR, 8GB Micro SD Card Included

I bought this as a security for other drivers and my self. I got into a road rage situation and wanted video proof to show PD and report him. This is a very decant camera although I would of given this product 4 stars but ran into some issues and noted in the Cons.When I got this I temporary installed it in my truck and was very surprised with the audio it picked up. If you ever wanted to prove to an officer that you indeed had to turn signal on, this dashcam can and will prove it!After a week I ran into a situation in that the cam would not turn off or respond to any commands via the buttons. It took over 15 minutes for the battery to run out. I tried to do a hard reset via the button but it looks like mine doesnt have one! Even though it says it does!I wanted to use this in two vehicles but I cant find anyone who sells an aftermarket mount :(I did buy a extra warranty and I'm glad I did. Camera is of good quality and value. The images straight out of the videos are much sharper compared to the TaoTronics that I have on other vehicles. The only thing I would change is the microSD because it is a bit small(8gb). 3min video clips are about 280-282MB in size and could take up space a lot quicker than expected. I recommend at least a 16gb memory and have the 8gb as a backup. The brightness during the day is a bit dimmer compared to the TaoTronics but it doesn't affect the quality and the sharpness of the image. From the 3 cameras that I own and tested(Pyle PDVRCAM11, TaoTronics TT-CD05, Telico C55), this will be on top of my list then TaoTronics a close second. I wouldn't recommend the Pyle.NOTE: The camera setting is defaulted at 1080P, the camera will say 1296P and will stamp the video at 1296P even though it was at 1080P which is misleading. I really don't see much of a difference in video quality b/w the two and would recommend just leaving it at 1080P resolution because the 1296P makes the video a bit square and needs to be adjusted after uploading to a computer.Attached are pics of 1080P and 1296P(before and after editing). You could see the 1296P comes out a bit square and needs to be edited, which I did. ,

The camera is awesome, when it actually writes to memory cards.The included card would allow about 15 minutes of files to be recorded, before returning "Card Error" on the LCD. I formatted the card with the camera, and a PC, but I still had the error. Fine, I switched to a larger card. This one worked for about 16 hours of recording, before it started to refuse to overwrite older files and return the "Card Error" message on the screen.I contacted support, explaining the error message, and they asked me to try what I already told them I tried, and wanted a picture of the message, despite my typing it in email character for character.

easy and intuitive menu. long cable but wish it were configured as a cigarette to usb then a long usb cable so i didnt have to take up my only cig lighter slot. great pic. definately will want to change some of the default settings like auto power off etc. one last thing. this has a battery but it must be tiny. after charging all day it only lasts 1 to 3 minutes off of a charger so i had to configure my settings while plugged in. dont know if mine is just a lemon or if thats standard. overall im happy with it for the price i guess

The camera is good quality but it only records 2-3 second videos and the screen randomly goes out and comes back. Sometimes the red dot on the screen blinks yellow and it stops recording, waste of money.

This camera is not night vision capable!!! However it was still so nice that I ordered one for my wife and hers randomly turns off and on when driving. Good video quality but not great.

I love this dash cam. It is crystal clear on videos both day and night. I like that it uses a micro USB port for the power cord instead of a mini USB port, which most dash cams have. This way if I transfer it to my other car, I just plug it in with my android phone charger. Plus it comes with a 8gb micro sd card. Overall, a great camera at a great value.

I should have returned this for a credit or exchange for another similar item. When the camera works it operates very well. The issue is the power connector is on the top of the unit and when you hit a bump, the camera turns off and you have to dittle around with the power connector to get the device to power on again.
