A Nostalgic New England Elixir
Brioschi Italian Lemon Flavored Effervescent wasn't just a product in our New England home; it was practically a family member! Growing up, this was the go-to remedy for everything from a little overindulgence at the dinner table to those 'I just need a little something' moments. The lemon flavor is like a burst of sunshine in a glass – sharp, refreshing, and unmistakably zesty. It's like Italy decided to send its best citrusy regards in effervescent form. The fizziness adds to the experience, making it feel like a mini celebration for your taste buds and tummy. But it's not just about the flavor; it's the feeling of instant relief that really sets Brioschi apart. It works its magic quickly, turning that bloated, 'I've eaten too much pasta' feeling into a distant memory. It's like having a friendly Italian nonna in your cupboard, ready to soothe your stomach with her age-old wisdom. Brioschi Italian Lemon Flavored Effervescent is more than just a digestive aid; it's a nostalgic trip down memory lane for anyone who grew up with it. It's a household staple that I've come to love and rely on over the years. If you haven't tried it yet, you're missing out on a delightful and effective remedy that's stood the test of time.

Brioschi is back! Thank you!
This is the REAL THING, back at last! When Brioschi suddenly disappeared from grocery and pharmacy shelves years ago, I thought, "It figures. I finally find something that works for me and, poof!, it becomes unavailable." The same thing happened to me with "Di-Gel." I always assumed, "When products work too well, the competition somehow makes them 'go away.'" I didn't know Brioschi was a product of Italy. The name should have told me something, but it never clicked. All I knew was that it worked, and that it did its job without aspirin. A similar product on the market (the "Plop! Plop! Fizz! Fizz!" effervesent reliever) contains aspirin to take care of ailments other than stomach discomfort. But aspirin upsets my stomach, irritates my esophagus, and gives me GERD -- all the reasons I use Brioschi in the first place! I don't want to be indelicate, but Brioschi is excellent for relieving the inevitable trapped "gas bubble" in the stomach by prompting the sufferer to belch. Forcing oneself to belch without the aid of Brioschi often results in the uncomfortable side-effect of bringing up stomach acid into the esophagus, making matters worse. This new generation of Brioschi, I can already tell you, works exactly as it always has. Improvements in performance may be all in my mind, but I did notice two things that I hadn't noticed before. Ten years ago, I remember each time I added a heaping capful of Brioschi to a half-glass of cool water, the foam created by the bubbling effect would rise to the brim of the glass and sometimes spill over. Although the new product remains just as effervescent as ever, the foaming bubbles seem more controlled. I no longer need to worry that the foam may spill over the top of the glass. I also noticed that the product is quicker to dissolve in water now than it did ten years ago. I prefer to gulp down the fizzing water while it is still bubbling. Ten years ago, that meant there would be residual product at the bottom of the glass. But now I am able to down an entire half-glass of fully fizzing water without any leftover product in the glass. Whether imagined or not, I consider the product improved.

It does the trick!!
Several years ago, Brioschi, made in Fairlawn,NJ , went out of business. It was a local favorite here in the New York area for people who had heartburn or excess stomach acid. Yes, there was always AlkaSeltzer tablets, but fir folks like me who are allergic to aspirin (in alkaSeltzer) we had no alternative. A couple of years later , I spotted Brioschi on Amazon and ordered a bottle. It appears to be brought to the US by Galfezzi, who made a similar product in Italy. The bottle looks like the same old Brioschi we all loved. The label doesn’t make anti-acid or medical claims. The original Brioschi had turmeric acid among the ingredients , this new version does not. The taste is slightly different than the original Brioschi but frankly , I like the lemon lime flavor, and it really works as an anti-acid and the carbonation helps you burp a little which again helps with an over full feeling. I am a fan abs am very glad that someone brought back the product.
