I love this for my two month old daughter. It arrived in time as promised, which was a pleasant surprise because mail takes long getting to my complex for some reason. When I first opened the package, I thought this looked like a McDonald's happy meal toy and I was pissed that I paid what I did for it. I washed it by hand and when it was dry I attached a Mam pacifier, and my daughter instantly cuddled it. She is a touchy baby, always using her hands and grabbing her clothes or blankets if nobody's hand is available to hold, so I was right in guessing this would be great for her. She knows that it is connected to her paci too, she is able to be more independent already, at 2 months, using it to get her paci back in her mouth when it pops out as long as it doesn't go too far. I have literally seen her learn and practice hand eye coordination right before my eyes with this. She sometimes maneuvers the paci into her mouth using the crook of her elbow when she is hugging it tightly. It also really helps us keep track of the pacifier, as I'm sure you parents know and agree, they get lost within precious seconds sometimes! I haven't tried the pacifier it came with yet; she does so well with the Mam that we use I haven't felt the need to try it. I would definitely buy again! Very cute, lightweight, easy to hand wash and hang dry, easy to get the pacifier in and out (at least for Mam pacifiers it is). I can't see how this would work with an Avent "soothie" pacifier at all though. I anticipate I will buy another once baby learns how to use her hands more and is reaching for her elephant more often. Other reviewers mentioned the strange angle of the pacifier because of how it is attached to the elephant's trunk, but it is not a problem for us; it is just a slight sideways angle.

This little lobster is too adorable! I bought this in hopes to get my 16 month off his soothie and on to an orthodontic pacifier as recommended by our pediatrician. When used with an orthodontic pacifier it gives the same feel as the beloved “wubbanub” however those only come with the 0-3 month soothie. One of the other moms said she heard of someone’s child biting through the 0-3 month soothie in their crib. So far only my Siberian husky has been able to do this. I also saw you can get a modified wubbanub on Etsy but my Son doesn’t like the 3+ month soothie as it’s a lot harder. So I used the Nookums with a MAM pacifier and it works great. It hasn’t come off or anything. The only thing is the wubbanub soothie stays upright when the child grabs and can easily pick up and put in his mouth in the dark. This one is a little floppy so it requires a bit more skill as you can’t just grab it by the stuffed animal part you really have to grab the pacifier directly. I was impressed with the quality of this item it felt solid and will hold up to the wear and tear of a toddler. So far we’re still trying to get him off the soothie that may be the toddler equivalent of giving up smoking. We’ll keep trying!

Cute and soft

Yes it’s soft and well made. But OMG why didn’t I buy this sooner! My 5.5 month old keeps waking up because the paci falls out. She’s also been taking longer to soothe to fall asleep. This thing not only holds her MAM glow in the dark Paci, it also soothes her instantly. She pets it until she falls asleep, which is much shorter. It’s seriously a miracle. Took me a while to find because the other brand comes up but you have to use their paci’s and I love MAM brand ones. Anyway, don’t even think about it long just get this.

The pack-plushie is so soft and very cute. It is very versatile as it has a ring that is interchangeable with different pacifiers. It is small enough for the little fingers to be able to hold on to it. The quality of this product is that it is well made with no small parts that can be pulled off. The seams are nicely sewn. The only negative I had was when I ordered it, it said I would receive the next day but didn’t receive until after the baby shower.

Super cute paci that helps keep it in his mouth a bit better than without the animal.

UPDATE almost 3 years later: Our little Nookums puppy (whom we lovingly named Karl Barks) has served us and our little boy well for the last 3 years, and now it’s time to let him go. He held the pacifier well, never fell off, made it easy to find in the middle of the night, and was so easy to clean. I had 2 and rotated them, cleaning one every week or so, and they held together brilliantly. A great alternative and better long-term solution than the Wubbanub since the soothie type pacifiers the Wubbanub is attached to aren’t recommended past the newborn phase. So we were able to use the dentist-approved MAM pacifiers all the way through toddlerhood. Thanks for a great 3 years, Karl! We’ll miss you! I ordered both this and the Wubbanub before my baby was born. We used the Wubbanub mostly at first since my lactation consultant recommended using soothie pacifiers at first. But eventually he started preferring MAM pacifiers, and at 6 months old, he would only chew instead of suck on the Wubbanub one. I remembered I had this Nookums puppy that I could replace the pacifier on and was so excited that it held the MAM pacifier so well. Now we use it all the time! We were always losing pacifiers and it was constantly falling out of his crib at night. This thing makes it easy to find and it hasn’t fallen through his crib once since we started using it. The plush puppy also makes it easy for him to find, grab, and get back into his mouth. It’s also easy to clean, and when the pacifier gets dirty, I can just pop on a new one (instead of having to stop and clean it like I did the Wubbanub). Who knew such a simple thing could make life so much easier? One caveat: be sure to check and see if it holds the pacifier brand your baby prefers before ordering. Like I said, my baby only uses MAM and it holds it perfectly, but I know it doesn’t take all brands.
